Sunday Night Live Was Amazing!

Last Sunday evening's service was attended by around 350 folks.  The evening began with six people giving testimony to their salvation experience through the ordinance of baptism, then all experienced a wonderful time of worship together, as our multi-generational choir, soloists, and orchestra led us in several stirring songs of praise.  Our girls dance team worshiped the Lord with a special dance to an Indian Song entitled "Jesus Loves Me".  We were privileged to hear two inspiring testimonies of God's grace from Felipe Vega and Olive Siegle.

A highlight of the evening was a season of prayer, with many different folks participating, in English, Korean, and Spanish.  We all enjoyed a fellowship meal in the Family Life Center afterwards.  Overall, it was an incredible time of worship, celebration, and fellowship.  Many folks worked hard to make this event happen, and we are grateful for their prayers and their hard work.

Senior Adult Day, May 3rd

This is a day that First Baptist honors our Senior Adults.  Leviticus 19:32 tells us to "Rise in the presence of the aged and to show respect for the elderly".  We set aside the first Sunday of May to clearly communicate to the senior adults how much we love and appreciate them through a lunch just for them.  This meal is made possible through the tithes and offerings of the church.  Please sign up on any of the Senior Adult boards by Wednesday, April 29.

Special Needs Respite

One Saturday a month, First Baptist provides a day of "Respite" for families in the community who have special needs children.  We have games, activities and lunch for children to allow the rest of the family to have a respite.  A group of dedicated volunteers work alongside of professional caregivers.  We are always looking for additional leaders for this much appreciated ministry.  Please contact or email Keith Murdock or email Rita Jackson for more information about volunteering.
