2. Farmer Pick with Add-Ons You can add as many extra items to a Farmer Pick Box as you like from our Online Market, we're already packing the box for you!

3. Custom Choice Order - Or you can fully customize your order for a $5 Custom Choice Fee. (Custom Choice orders get priority if we are short on an item and are individually packed so they get VIP treatment!)

Here are some more ways we make it easy for folks to order:

Our Orders This Week
Our $20 Farmer Pick box
Another great Fall week although the unseasonably warm temps and continued lack of rain have been a little weird. Ya'll are not doing any rain dances for us are you? We do have a chance this week with a front coming across from the West so everyone please think long, gentle, drenching wet thoughts, OK? Thank you! We had a couple of "either/or" items this week for our boxes: we had some Cucumbers arrive damaged so some Farmer Pick boxes got Green Beans instead; all Radishes ended up being the pretty and tasty Red Cherry Belle variety instead of the colorful Easter Egg mix we expected. Otherwise all is beautiful and delicious!

Online Market Updates
Many thanks to our Members who have asked us for some refinements to our new website: you will now find a quicker "Add To Cart" function so it's easier to navigate and get all the Good Food in your cart before viewing and checking out. Let us know if you see anything that needs tweaking and we appreciate your input! One thing we figured out is that our customer account notes didn't transfer over so if we owed you an item don't hesitate to put a Comment on there to remind us. If you have not yet logged in to your new account be sure to use the default password friends, then you can click on your Account Details to change.

Some of the changes and updates you will find on the new Online Market include:
  • Our Farmer Pick Forecasts are listed on the Online Market so you can easily view them anytime.
  • Investment Accounts are now calculated on the site so you can always look up your balance when you login. Laurie is SO happy about this!
  • We will only send you two emails per week: the "Online Market is Open" and our "Weekly Newsletter". We have eliminated the Monday "Order Reminder" so don't forget to order by Midnight Monday!
  • While we have not raised product prices we have rounded up our Annual Membership Fee to $36 ($3 per month). This covers the cost of our boxes, labels and packaging.
  • Our Recipes are searchable by ingredient! We're still uploading more of them and photos, it will be easy to find great new ways to prepare and enjoy that delicious mystery vegetable.
What has not changed is the wonderful array of locally grown Real Food from our wonderful Farmers. Cheers and thank you for your support!

Farmyard Building Project
Our #1 Mama Goat Frida checks out the construction site of the new Goat House. Can you see how big her belly is getting? We're building a spacious new shed for the mamas to have their Goat Kids in comfort. The project is using mostly recycled pallets and materials from the farm. Stay tuned to our Facebook page and Weekly Newsletters as we finish the new addition to our Farmyard Village.

Weekly Recipe
Each week we highlight some of the ingredients from our boxes with one of our own Farmhouse Recipes. This is the way we cook here on the Farm with our limited kitchen time but love of Good Food. We hope to inspire you to try something new, even if it's just one All-Local Meal a week!

Farmhouse Cornbread
We are celebrating the fresh delivery of Stoneground Cornmeal from Saxon Gristmill with our own Farmhouse recipes for Cornbread including a gluten-free version. If you have never had freshly ground grain you don't know what you are missing: once when we were out of Saxon Cornmeal we picked up some from the grocery store and the difference was truly astounding (we'll not do that again!).

Cheesy Cornbread
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Mix together in a large bowl:
1 cup Saxon Stone Ground Cornmeal
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
4 tsp Baking Powder
1/8 cup Sugar
pinch of salt
1/2 cup Grated Cheese (we like Wright Dairy Cheddar)

In another bowl blend together:
1 cup Milk or Buttermilk
1/2 cup light Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil

2 Eggs, beaten

Mix wet and dry ingredients, pour into a hot oiled cast iron skillet or buttered baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and top is brown.

Will's Gluten-Free Cornbread
The Stoneground Cornmeal from Saxon Gristmill is ground on the farm with no other grains are anywhere nearby it so it's safe for folks with Gluten allergy or intolerance. Even if Gluten is not a problem for you we think you will love this variation!
