Moore Farms
Yummy Orders This Week!
Pretty colors and delicious flavors in our $20 box this week!
There is almost too much happening right now on the farms with Spring in full swing! At Moore Farms we're still waiting for a little break from the regular rains so the soil can dry out to till for planting. Many of our other farmer folks grow in unheated Hoophouses so they have been rocking and rolling for awhile.
Our Pigs take a break in the mud flats from their important rooting work!
The Pigs are too, too happy with all of the rain, they love the mudpuddles to roll around in and are enjoying the Spring pasture they just got moved to. It won't be long now before they are ready to go to the processor but we are letting them do some tilling for us before they go. They are truly happy creatures and that is so very important to us. We started 124 eggs in the new incubator this week too so in 21 days we'll be hatching Chicks again. Ahhhh, Spring! Click here for info about our City Chicks program for folks in Atlanta who want backyard birds (we're taking reservations now for the first of May).

Weekly Farmhouse Recipe
2G Farms Spinach is growing like crazy!
This week we have our Veggie Dinner Package recipe featuring Storico Fresco Sagne Pasta, fresh Spinach and Atlanta Fresh Garlic and Herb Cream Cheese!

Easy Spring Pasta

Ingredients:

~ 1 pkg Storico Fresco Sagne low-gluten Pasta

~ 1/4 pound Spinach
~ Atlanta Fresh Garlic Herb Yogurt Cream Cheese
1. Prepare Pasta according to package directions.
2. Wash, trim and chop 1/4 pound Spinach (for the Dinner Package use the other 1/4 pound for Salad with the Lettuce, Tomatoes and Bell Pepper).
3. In a large skillet heat 2T Olive Oil, saute Spinach until just barely wilted. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Toss prepared Pasta with wilted Spinach, add Atlanta Fresh Garlic and Herb Cream Cheese and mix together. We used 1/2 of the Cream Cheese carton but you can add more if you like. Drizzle with a bit more Olive Oil just before serving.
