Moore Farms
Beauty Orders This Week!
Our delicious and nutritious $20 Farmer Pick box this week!
Alright then, another great week of delicious farm food going out to our Members! We had a little miscommunication about the Radishes and we did not get as many as we planned so our $30 and $40 Farmer Pick boxes got another head of Lettuce instead. Otherwise all went great and we are so proud to have such a terrific array of wonderful foods from all of our farmers. We are truly fortunate to have such a terrific group of colleagues!
Our Silkie Roosters are cute but they take their jobs seriously watching after their girls!
Lull in Egg Production
So we wanted to be sure you all knew that our Egg farms are all seeing a dip in production after the recent chilly weather. It's looking better each week as our young hens are starting to lay and we have added a new local producer to the mix.**Because of the seasonal shortage
we ask everyone to please be sweet and limit your order to two dozen. THANK YOU!**
Our goats figured out that the farm pickup truck was a fun jungle gym!

Holiday Schedule

This year our Online Market will be closed for the two weeks of December 22nd and 29th because the holidays fall smack in the middle of the week!

From the Farmers
We are very proud to bring our farm harvests to your family's table and we always want to know what you think about what we do. Send us your recipes, pictures and stories and thank you for supporting your local food system!

Weekly Recipe
Quick Apple Dumplings
This makes a simple sweet dessert that can be made ahead (and so cute, too!). Other than peeling and coring the Apples this is a great recipe for kids. Warm these up to serve with ice cream they make a satisfying finale for a Winter supper!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
     1. Peel Apples, you will use 1 Apple for 2 servings. Cut in half and remove core.
     2. Unroll prepared Pie Shells (our little quick trick!). These are found in the refrigerator or freezer section of the grocery store. You may want to use a rolling pin to roll them out a little thinner, sometimes they can be a little thick.
      3. Cut the round Pie Shell into quarters and sprinkle with Sugar and Cinnamon.
     4. Place an Apple half in the center of each Pie Shell and fold around the Apple, pinching seams together. Make 2-3 pierces in the crust to vent steam.
     5. Place on lined baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes.
