Moore Farms
Wonderful Orders This Week
Our $20 Farmer Pick box this week!
What a wonderful week we had with beautiful farm harvests and equally beautiful weather. Now it's going to get chilly but oh well, it's time. We wanted to send many, many thanks again for all of our Members' thoughts and prayers for Will's mom Virginia. She has wonderful care through our local hospice agency and we are so grateful for them. It's just day to day at this point and she has pulled through a couple of tough nights. We are just so glad she is home with us and we are able to spend this time with her.
Sweet Pea in Clover
Our beautiful baby girl Sweet Pea gave us a scare this weekend!
There was an additional level of craziness this weekend when our farm dog Sweet Pea got "bumped" by the mail truck! She is a Border Collie / Retriever mix and we have never been able to break her of her car chasing compulsion. This time she was on the losing end of the battle and had to spend a couple of nights at the animal hospital with a punctured lung. She is home now and making a slow recovery. Hopefully she has learned a tough lesson, this kind of stress is not needed these days, oy!

Weekly Recipe
Farmhouse Brunch Pancakes
Almost a meal on their own, this beautiful and delicious dish makes a fantastic presentation (and they look like they would be much harder to make than they are)! Pecan Point Farm Whole Wheat and Oat Pancakes are layered with Capra Gia Cheese Company's Fresh Plain Chevre, Pecan Honey Granola and our own Moore Farms and Friends Strawberry Orange Jam. We have featured this dish for our Brunch Package this week so you can get all the ingredients in one fell swoop. Make these for someone you love!

1. Prepare Pecan Point Farm's Whole Wheat and Oat Pancake Mix according to package directions (one difference in our preparation: we mixed the pecan topping into the Pancake batter).

2. Top with Capra Gia Chevre, Moore Farms and Friends Strawberry Orange Jam and sprinkle Pecan Point Honey Pecan Granola over the top just before serving!
Freedom Farmers Market
Come see us! We're at the Carter Center every Saturday from 9am - 1pm. This week we'll have our last pair of City Chicks for 2014, they will be moving on up to their new Atlanta home after market!
