Delicious and nutritious variety in this week's $20 box!
OK we did end up with few either/or items this week as some of our farms were a little off on their harvest reports! For Farmer Picks we had either Kohlrabi or Cabbage, Tuscan Kale or Swiss Chard or Pac Choi and for the $40 boxes either Spinach or Swiss Chard. Hope this makes everyone happy, we aim to please and try very hard to be sure our harvest reports are accurate but, well, sometimes Mother Nature intervenes in our careful planning! Everything for our farm boxes was just beautiful and we're sure all of our Members will be happy with the replacements if they were necessary. (Custom Choice and Add-On Items were not replaced, just the Farmer Pick boxes.)

Weekly Recipe
Veggie Slaw Salad
We served this tasty Veggie Slaw Salad for the 2014 Atlanta Food & Wine Festival this past weekend and everyone ate it up. Crisp, refreshing and perfect for any veggies you are not sure what else to do with!
1. Wash and trim Veggies:
Swiss Chard (leaves and stems); Kohlrabi (leaves and "bulb"); Cabbage; Radishes; Carrots.
2. Chop the Swiss Chard and Kohlrabi leaves finely, place in large bowl. Chop (or use a food processor with grating blade) Cabbage, Radishes and Carrots. Add to Veggie bowl.
3. Mix together a quick vinaigrette: we used half Moore Farms Herbal Vinegar and half Georgia Olive Oil (we hope to have this on our Online Market soon!). Season with salt and pepper, blend well to combine.
4. Dress the Veggie Slaw Salad lightly just before serving.
This is a beautiful and delicious alternative to plain Cole Slaw. Try other Veggies in there, too!
