Moore Farms
Our Orders This Week!
Our yummy $20 Farmer Pick order for this week's deliveries
Alright everything went great for orders and deliveries this week, especially after the torrential rainstorms we all experienced. We did come up a little short on the Swiss Chard for orders so some of our Farmers Pick boxes got Spinach or Salad Mix instead. Otherwise a really great week all around!

Be an Early Bird and get $1 off of your order!
Our Early Bird Offer was a hit last week so we're keeping it up for the month of April! Order by midnight Friday and get $1 off of your order total. (Investment Members we'll take the $1 off when we process your order.) We'll also highlight the offer with a Farm Photo of some of our Early Birds! These chicks have turned out to be a mystery: we purchased them from Tractor Supply Company as Silver Laced Wyandottes (black and white) but they are definitely not that breed! They might be Gold Laced Wyandottes but won't know until they get a little bigger and their feathers come in better. All the more reason to keep hatching our own chicks here on the farm.

Weekly Recipe
Our Recipe of the Week is for our
Farmhouse Fritatta
Made with our own Farm Fresh Eggs, this Recipe is the main dish in our in our Brunch Package this week. Add a biscuit and you're in business!

Prepare Fritatta:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Wash, trim and chop Kale, about 2 cups of the prepared leaves will be enough.

Wash and slice 6-8 Grape Tomatoes in half. If you like, chop an onion, too.

Crack eight Eggs one at a time in a small bowl to be sure you don't add any shell to the dish. Beat together well. Grate 1/2 of the Cheddar Cheese (1/4 pound) mix in to the Eggs.

Heat an ovenproof skillet on medium heat with 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil.  (We like to use an iron skillet for this.) Be sure the skillet has a lid.

Saute Kale, Tomatoes and Onion for 2-3 minutes or until they just start to wilt. Season with salt and pepper.

Pour beaten Egg mixture over the Veggies.

Cover skillet and place in preheated oven, bake for 15 minutes. Check for doneness, center should be firm. If necessary remove lid and bake for another 5 minutes or until center is set. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Side dish: Wash, trim and chop Sweet Potatoes and Bell Pepper. Toss with just enough olive oil to coat, season with salt and pepper. Place on a lined baking sheet and roast in the oven for 20-30 minutes or until browned and tender.
