Terrific Orders This Week! 
Our $20 Farmers Pick box this week.
We are so happy to report that we had none of the weirdness that we experienced last week with missing produce deliveries! We know that sometimes things happen and fortunately in that respect it's not often with our great group of growers. If you had a Cucumber or Butternut Squash on back-order now worries! We still have the reminder note posted to your account and we'll replace or credit your next order automatically.

All kinds of new and exciting stuff going on in our world these days! We have another great new Pickup Location that came on board this week, The Local Exchange right on the Square in Marietta. The fine folks at this new shop feature local products: "The Local Exchange...Live Local, Buy Local. Local, Regional, Organic, Fair Trade, Sustainable, Recycled. Food, Merchandise, Craft Beer, Wine, Antiques". Check them out on Facebook or stop by the shop. And now you can pick up your Online Market order, too!

Well Fall is falling, the normal cooler temps are a welcome change with all of the other strange weather 2013 has brought to us.  Now we just need to pray for a nice Winter (the forecast is for a very cold one in the South!). Here are some pretty late Summer pics from Moore Farms. . .

We got our Black Beans in late this year, they look really good and we're hoping to get a crop before frost!

Our Recipe of the Week is for our Veggie Dinner Package

Summer Vegetable Ragu w/ Polenta
While a traditional Ragu is a meat-based sauce we like this dish for it's similar texture and because it uses Veggies only! The Box includes: Saxon Grist Mill Stone Ground Cornmeal; Wanda (Asiago-style) Cheese; Tomatoes; Sweet Peppers; Summer Squash; Garlic.

1. Make the Polenta: We like the Saxon Cornmeal to make Polenta, even though it's a little finer grind the texture and flavor are great for Polenta. Click here for our previous post with the Easy Polenta Recipe. The only difference is we included the Wright Dairy Wanda Cheese.

2. Prepare the Vegetable Ragu: Wash, trim and chop Vegetables into bite-sized chunks. We included Tomatoes, Sweet Peppers and Summer Squash. Feel free to add any other Veggies you like or some Meat if you're a Meat Eater. Heat 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil in a skillet, add prepared Veggies and as much crushed Garlic as you like. Season with salt and pepper, add 1/2 cup liquid of your choice (water, broth, wine, etc.,) cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally, Veggies will "melt" into a sauce. Additional seasonings we like: Red Pepper Flakes; Fennel Seed; chopped Fresh Herbs.

Serve Vegetable Ragu with the Polenta and enjoy this tasty and satisfying dish! 

Lion's Mane Mushrooms
We are super excited to start offering Sparta Imperial Mushrooms! This week we had their beautiful Lion's Mane Mushrooms for the first time. We love these delectable fungi and usually enjoy them just sauteed with a little butter and tossed with Pasta or Rice. For more adventurous recipes check out their website with offerings from local chefs.
