Our Orders This Week
Our beautiful $20 Farmers Pick box this week!
     Well it was just a great weekend after all, the storms weren't as bad as predicted for any of our growers, nothing blew away anywhere, whew!
     We just had one replacement this week and it was on us, we mis-judged the amount of Baby Greens we had left in the field to pick and we didn't have enough for orders. We sent Tuscan Kale instead for some of our orders. This weekend will have that entire section of our field cleared off and prepping for planting again!
     We had had some wonderful feedback about the "See The Good" article that came out this week, all about our Farmer Box program in Birmingham where we are delivering to four Regions Bank offices. Check it out and let us know if you think your company would be interested in hosting our deliveries (we would love to bring our farmers' Good Food to your office!).

This weekend you will find us in Edgewood at the Coan Park Play Day, come out for a great time participating in your favorite sports and come see us!

We have updated our Upcoming Events page and opened Registration for our Annual Spring Farm Day. Come see us, we love to meet our "eaters" every chance we get!

Strawberries (1 pint)
Mixed Baby Greens (3/4#) ~OR~ Tuscan Kale 1/2 pound
Rutabagas (2 pounds)

Baby Lettuces (1/2 pound)

Weekly Recipe
This week we have the recipe for our
Stir Fry Dinner Package:

Prepare Tofu: Drain and pat dry on towels, slice into bite-sized chunks. Heat enough oil to cover the bottom of a skillet on medium-high heat, carefully place Tofu in pan and fry until crispy, turning once. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

Prepare Veggies:  Wash, trim and chop Broccoli, Bell Pepper, Onions, place in separate bowls. To prepare Rutabaga (one of the BEST stir-fry veggies!) wash, trim and peel, cut into 1/4" sticks, set aside. Wash, trim and chop Cilantro, set aside.

Prepare Sauce: Mix together 2T each Honey, Soy Sauce, Sweet Chili Sauce, Fish Sauce (unless vegetarian) and Rice Wine Vinegar. Add 1T fresh or 2t dry ground Ginger and Garlic. If you like spice add 2T Siracha and/or 1/2T Chili Oil.

Heat a wok or skillet and add 2T oil. Sir Fry veggies starting with the thickest (Rutabaga) then adding Broccoli, Bell Pepper and Onions. When veggies are just cooked through add Tofu back to the pan and stir in sauce, cook for just another minute or two until the sauce has coated all and is well heated through.

Serve with Rice or Noodles, leftovers are the best!
