Moore Farms
Orders This Week
Our $20 Farmers Pick Box this week!
Okey dokey, we had a couple of glitches this week, seems like the first day of Spring carried some extra excitement for us! The farm that sent us the Pac Choi this week did not have as much as they expected so they sent Swiss Chard as a replacement. We made sure Custom Choice Orders for Pac Choi got filled and then the $30 and $40 Farmer's Picks got either Pac Choi or Swiss Chard. Also Yellow Moon Cheese Company was not able to get their delivery to us this week so for Members who had ordered their Red Hill Cheddar or Canebrake Gouda we'll have it next week. We have already noted your account and will automatically replace in your next order, no need to re-order unless you want extra! Otherwise all went well and we have been enjoying a little break in between rain systems, enough to get plowing and tilling done for all of our farms, yay!

Atlanta Pickup Locations Update
Our GA Tech site is suspended for the time being due to construction, folks can pickup at Miller Union and we're actively working on another on-campus site.
Interested in a Glenwood Park site? We're getting requests for a location over there, let us know!
These Pickup Locations have been slowing down for several months now and are in danger of being suspended or replaced: Simply Fresh in Marietta/Roswell; Harry's Market in Marietta; Stone Mountain Village; and Tucker. Click here to view the details for our Pickup Locations and let us know if you want to keep your site by ordering and spreading the word!!
We'll keep ya'll updated on weekly orders for these Pickup Locations that are in danger of being suspended or replaced. We really need at least 10 orders per week to cover delivery costs.
  • Simply Fresh Marietta/Roswell (1 order this week)
  • Harry's Market Marietta (4 orders this week)
  • Stone Mountain Village (2 orders this week)
  • Mother Nature's in Tucker (2 orders this week)
We'll make some decisions at the end of March about replacement locations as we are getting requests for new sites in the Atlanta area.

Weekly Recipes
We have the recipes for our Soup and Salad Box this week:

Potato Soup
Wash, trim and dice three pounds of Potatoes (no need to peel!). Wash, trim and chop Celery, you will need two cups.
Saute Potatoes and Celery in and skillet with 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil until just softened, season with salt and pepper, chopped fresh Rosemary, paprika and garlic.
Place Vegetables in soup pot, add 4 cups Chicken Broth, Vegetable Broth or Water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
Depending on the texture you like use a potato masher or immersion blender until desired consistency.

Green Salad
Wash, trim and chop or tear Lettuce, arrange in serving bowl. Wash, trim and chop Cucumber into 1/2" dice. Mix Cucumber with your favorite Salad Dressing and chill (we love any of the Atlanta Fresh Yogurt Dressings!).
Top Lettuce with Cucumber Dressing mixture just before serving.

Fresh Strawberries
We have been enjoying these sliced with just a drizzle of Honey for dessert!
