It's that time of year again! The time to update information on your one of a kind troop. Troops can even add a personal description of what their troop is all about. This could include a fun description of the activities your troop loves most or goals your troop is working towards.

Fun at Camp Wasiu II

Camp water wars, yoga on standup paddle boards, and shooting arrows through the forest... now that's a happy #WasiuWednesday!

Where's Waldo?


He was in the GSSN Shop! Waldo was promoting summer reading fun and Grassroots partnered with more than 20 other community businesses to create a fun scavenger hunt all over the city for him. This fun activity fulfills several badge activities at all levels, check your Girls Guide to Girl Scouting to find out how.

We Want YOU...at a Back to School Night!

We have back to school packets for parents and volunteers 
who can help us spread the word about Girl Scouts! Our council covers 96,000 square miles and we need volunteer help at every school's back to school nights! Included are talking points, a sign-up sheet, a tablecloth, patches, cootie-catchers, posters and a lot of gratitude for helping us out!

It's time to start thinking about service unit planning, budgeting, events and more, and we have new service unit training videos to help. In just a few minutes, you'll gain some great tips on rocking the new year!

Come back to Camp Wasiu II for an awesome weekend event! You'll race around camp, complete obstacles, solve puzzles, and challenge yourself at the lake!

 

Wasiu Weekend Adults-Only Retreat

Wasiu Weekend is an energizing and informative weekend to learn new outdoor skills, try new adventure activities, or just relax and have fun!

Now, troops can IMAGINE their STEM futures too!

It's Almost Parade Time!

Nevada Day Parade: October 31 
Sparks Hometown Parade: December 5

What better way to celebrate Girl Scouts in our community than to be a part of a parade! This year, the Nevada Day Parade and the Sparks Hometown Parade entries will be coordinated by GSSN so the girls can focus on those fabulous floats and costumes! (Including paying for the group's entry fees.)

Thursday, August 4

Come join us at Cabela's for our exciting annual Adventure Day! We have a great day planned with fly tying, tent setup, archery, and even gold panning!
Water Savers Club

Pledge to LOVE water by protecting it, then team up to advocate for other people to SAVE water, too. To do our part this summer, Girl Scouts are invited to join the RGJ "Water Savers Club," filled with fun self-guided activities, events, and the new Water Savers Patch!

Sierra Survival Older Girl Camporall
Friday, October 2 - Sunday, October 4

Calling all Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts! Join the local chapter of the Green Hat Society and the Peavine Service Unit for a fun-filled weekend of camping where your troop becomes a Tribe and must "Survive in the Out-of-Doors" by conquering Survival Challenges at Fort Churchill State Park.  Find out more here!
