Do you have a vision for your chapter?
We all want to be a part of something greater than ourselves. Leaders should be driven by a vision. Many IIE chapter leaders carefully craft a vision statement that helps communicate the chapter's goals to chapter members in a single sentence or a few concise paragraphs. A good vision statement is a look ahead into the future. It should be clear, concise, challenging, inspiring, and future-oriented. Revisit the statement with members regularly. Display it in the meeting room. Include it on your event flyers. Use it to introduce your chapter operations plan.
The first step is to take a look at where your chapter is and your realistic goals for immediate and long term. Create your chapter's vision statement. Make sure it is meaningful and uniquely your own!
