Webinars

The Sustainable Development Division is hosting educational webinars through IIE website, a minimum of one seminar per quarter is being held. View previous webinars

Hopefully you were able to attend yesterday's webinar, "Measuring ROI on Sustainability Investments" featuring speaker Lise Laurin, Founder and Managing Editor, EarthShift.

The webinar introduced attendees to the basics of S-ROI. More and more companies are investing in sustainability. Many of these investments pay off in visible ways - energy and waste reduction, for example, reduce environmental impacts and costs at the same time. Some social investments payoff in reduced advertising costs or even increased sales. Miss the webinar? If so, click here to view.

Community Outreach Project in Tennessee

Every year, our Sustainable Development Division selects a deserving nonprofit organization in the community where the annual conference will be held to give our time and contribute with our engineering skills.  This year the organization selected is "Hands on Nashville".  We will be supporting the urban agriculture program.  The farm is a working and teaching hub for volunteers and produces harvest to give youth the opportunity to harvest, prepare, and taste healthy foods.

Hands on Nashville's Urban Farm is a public and private partnership spearheaded by HON, the office of Mayor Karl Dean and Metro Nashville Parks and Recreation.  Our event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon CDT on Saturday, May 30.

Please contact Nelson Granda at [email protected] if you are interested in participating.  We will gather together after the event to eat lunch and enjoy Nashville.
