IIE university chapters "bask in the glow" of GOLD!

It's with immeasurable pride that IIE announces a record 64 university chapters receiving the 2013 GOLD award, recognizing those chapters who have demonstrated marked improvements, progress and overall achievements in 2012-2013.

The 2012-2013 University Chapter Activity Report (UCAR) is the basis for the University Chapter Recognition Program Awards. Gold, Silver and Bronze awards are given based on points scored. The UCAR provides a simple measurement system that allows your chapter to see improvement trends and to track progress.

Raleigh (Mid-Atlantic Region) received the 2013 Most Improved Chapter Award. The award is based on the greatest year-over-year increase in points on the Chapter Activity Report.

The awards were presented at the Honors and Awards Banquet during the IIE Annual Conference and Expo 2013 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Chapter best practices at the IIE Annual Conference and Expo 2013

The student track committee for the 2013 Annual Conference & Expo in San Juan, Puerto Rico, was delighted that so many 2012 GOLD Award winning chapters volunteered to present best practice presentations at the conference. Eight chapters were selected, and these chapters' presenters talked with attendees about methods, processes, ideas, activities, incentives, and rewards that deliver successful results for their chapters. Each upcoming issue of Chapter Leader News will highlight a best practices presentation. Watch for them all and get ideas for your chapter!
