The ICIS Vision: New and Improved!

The ICIS Board of Directors met on January 14th for a busy day of meetings and planning. At the meeting, the Board discussed and approved the new ICIS Vision Statement. The revised Vision now reads:
"ICIS is a leader in the sharing of geospatial information; driving collaboration, integration, adoption and use of spatial data for the social and economic benefit of British Columbia."
ICIS is very excited with the revised statement which better represents the present role of ICIS.

Meet Our Board Members
Harry Mercer, ICIS Past President and BC Assessment Representative
 Harry has an extensive telecom and IT background, with experience in technology innovation, business transformation, change management, competitive strategy, business development, marketing, sales, operations and customer service and technology management. Harry has worked with a number of organizations including AppLocation Systems Inc. and xwave in Victoria, TELUS in Vancouver and a number of IT companies in Ottawa and New Brunswick. Harry's educational background includes an Electrical Engineering degree and completion of numerous Management and Leadership programs through McGill University, Harvard Business School and the University of Western Ontario. Harry is responsible for Customer and Systems Services, Information Technology and Project Management. Harry is a member of the ICIS Board Executive Committee, and served as the ICIS President from 2010-2012. |

ICIS (Integrated Cadastral Information Society) is a non profit organization dedicated to the "collaborative sharing and integration of spatial data for the economic and social benefit of British Columbia."
Members of ICIS include Provincial Government Ministries, Crown Corporations, Local and Regional Governments, First Nations, and major Utility companies in BC.
