Lecrae Speaks About Freedom in Christ
Lecrae (Lecrae Devaughn Moore) is a 36-year-old Christian rapper with a Grammy Award under his belt and a best-selling book Unashamed with tales of surviving drugs, crime, sex abuse and coming to faith in Christ.
Lecrae also knows a lot about fatherlessness - the epidemic scourge of America - and the devastating impact it had on him growing up in Atlanta. He often writes and sings about it. In his new biography he pens:
"I'm not the only kid to grow up with this pain. Millions of fatherless children in America struggle with this reality. The loneliness . . . and, of course, the hundreds of aching, unanswered questions that leave them wanting to scream, "How come he don't want me?" like Will in that famous scene from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air after his deadbeat dad leaves again."
In his powerful song and music video Just Like You, Lecrae gives us a powerful portrayal of what manhood should be about. Check it out HERE

Brothers, We've Been Warned!
God's faithful remnant on earth is and always has been the counter culture. But today is an unprecedented time of testing for churches and para-churches in America, where the culture, once friendly and then tolerant of us, has turned ugly and hostile. And this, as promised, will cost you and I - all of us - as we remain faithful to proclaiming the gospel and living in the light of its power, truth, grace and freedom. God is showing the world what it means to be "gospel-ed" men!
If you're not girding your loins for the onslaught of cultural secularism, you're behaving foolishly. Gospel-ed men live and minister on a spiritual battlefield. War footing makes us to take seriously the warnings from the likes of liberal ordained minister David Gushee. Gushee who fully subscribes to the rampantly prevailing sexual revolution recently told the church this new sexual orthodoxy "will come and find you." Scripture reminds us while the thief (Satan, false teachers and the like) comes only to steal and kill and destroy, Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We're called to listen to Jesus (especially His hard sayings) and to fix our eyes on Him, which makes us counter culture by definition. There's no more hiding in the tall grass for a church or para-church. The enemy and world system are moving swiftly from marginalizing, to isolating, to targeting those who not only live distinctive, unapologetic Christian lives but who boldly placard in word and deed the historic gospel.
One of the hardest things our faithful remnant will face is that when the Thought Police show up at the door, church people like David Gushee will proudly say, "They're in the basement, officer." When that time comes and well on the path to it, our confidence and security will be where its always been - in the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ! It is the thing we're meant to tell a fallen world and the only hope whereby dead men walking can be saved. And, of course, Brothers, we know how all this ends! READ MORE

"Miracle on the Hudson" Hits Theaters September 16
On January 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 took off from New York's LaGuardia Airport for Charlotte-Douglas International Airport. Instead it made an emergency water landing in the Hudson River after multiple bird strikes caused both engines to fail. The incident came to be known as the "Miracle on the Hudson." Flight 1549's pilot "Sully" Sullenberger who heroically guided the aircraft to an unprecedented water landing nevertheless experienced a grueling post-incident investigation and personal trauma. Oscar-winning actor and filmmaker Clint Eastwood brings this incredible story to the screen with Academy Award winner Tom Hanks playing the role of Captain Chesley Sullenberger . The movie dubbed Sully opens in theaters September 16 - Watch the Trailer HERE
