Deception & Misdirection

Hailed as the greatest pickpocket in the world, Apollo Robbins studies the quirks of human behavior as he steals your watch. In a hilarious demonstration, Robbins samples the buffet of the TEDGlobal 2013 audience, showing how the flaws in our perception make it possible to swipe a wallet and leave it on its owner's shoulder while they remain clueless. Check out his schtik HERE

If Robbins can pull off this kind of deception and misdirection, think about what The Enemy does 24/7 as he prowls around.

We know what he can and will do when he controls our attention.
What's With Noah?

Back in the January's edition, we gave a heads-up about the new Noah movie saying it was too early to tell how the final version would come out. In whatever case, we urged wisdom and discernment if one chose to see it. Well, the movie is out and in many ways exceeds our deepest concerns.

Its atheist producer and screenwriter, Darren Aronofsky, has confessed that he has made the "least biblical" movie of all time. However, he has managed to make a blockbuster "crossover" movie - one that hijacks a familiar biblical story that taps into a very big Christian audience. At the same time, Aronofsky's scripts a high-tech, sci-fi, pop spirituality story that appeals to the secular audience. A couple of points:

Psalm 14: 1 says, "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God."' They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good". So why would we give time and money to a fool's interpretation of God's word?

The movie should prompt us to go back to God's original, true story, not Aronofsky''s fantasy. Check out Joe Carter's helpful article "9 Things You Should Know about the Story of Noah".
Cat and Mouse

"To speak of man's search for God is like speaking of the mouse's search for the cat."

What Men Say About This Conference

"Thank God for you and the entire team for your great hospitality and a wonderful God honoring experience. We were truly blessed to be a part of what is doing.  All the men that came with me, about 20, are still talking about their experiences and just how much they enjoyed the ISI Conference. James L.

"I don't know where to begin, but WOW seems appropriate!...I am still getting great feedback on the different speakers and how incredible everyone thought things went." Pastor Rob

"I was a first time attender to the conference in Springfield and wanted to thank you and your team for an awesome job putting the program together.  Excellent speakers, great worship, and an awesome facility.  You can see God's hand at work through your ministry". - Elder Rich

Enjoyed ISI ... brought two guys from DC ... ISI and these men were such a blessing together." Tom C.

"I went to an Iron sharpens Iron meeting a couple of years ago in Northern VA.  It was a blessing to be among so many brothers in Christ... It was part of the darkest days of my life as I walking through a divorce--the loss of our family home--the splitting apart of a family that was together for 25 years.  However, through His grace and mercy--and with the help of brothers in Christ that surrounded me--I made it through.  I am a changed man--a man that has been broken and put back together in another form--only by His redeeming hands. - Jeff H.

"What a conference!  My wife and 3 kids and my church are already reaping the blessings of yesterday. I am still on the mountain top... I did not want it to end - I wanted to build several tabernacles like the disciples!". - Larry R.

"Our church is still on fire after the conference.  Thank you again for your professionalism and dedication to honoring God!  Continue the good work!" - Marshall J.

"It was a great conference-well organized as usual.  You guys really do a wonderful job putting these conferences together." - Ray K.

"My Father and I really enjoyed the conference.  It was exciting, encouraging, and energizing." Maurice

"WOW! If this [WACMM's ISI Conference] doesn't capture most men's attention, nothing will." - Chuck.

8 Reasons Why Jesus Rose from Grave
An Easter Reminder
#1. Jesus himself testified to his coming resurrection from the  dead.

Jesus spoke openly about what would happen to him: crucifixion and then resurrection from the dead. "The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again" (Mark 8:31; see also Matthew 17:22; Luke 9:22).
