Big Data 2.0: Data Protection regulations 'need better balance'

Personal data is at the heart of many potential new business model opportunities for telcos and others, but appropriate regulatory, legal, business and technical frameworks are essential for progress. So it's good news that the World Economic Forum's (WEF) principles on personal data (that Telco 2.0 has been part of creating) are getting an encouraging reception from regulators/legislators around the world, even in the strict and influential EU.
