Last Call...

Years ago when we launched "Notes From A Cocktail Napkin," we featured a man who had not only been a friend, but who had been a constant source of encouragement and inspiration. Harry Simpson introduced his son Jon and his family, friends and colleagues to Martini in the Morning. His grace, his wisdom and his strength was such a contribution to the MITM family, the community that is Martini in the Morning. MITM is more than a radio station - it is a family, a community built around a notion, an idea that there are more things that bring us together than things that tear us apart. At a time when we're more divided than ever, Harry Simpson reminded us to look inside ourselves, to find quiet, to find truth, to find peace.  Harry Simpson brought us together, he loved the music and the friends he found at Martini in the Morning. We lost Harry on December 10th, but his inspiration and wisdom will be with us forever. Click here to watch a video of Harry calling Brad and Miriam to talk about turning 90.

2015 brought another loss. As a boy and young man, I looked up to my Uncle, Chris Buckner, husband of my Dad's younger sister Melba. I grew up spending a lot of time with my cousins, their kids, Jeff, Rhonda and Lori. My uncle Chris always said I would be successful in radio when I started playing Country music - so it was one of the thrills of my life when I introduced my Aunt Melba and Uncle Chris to one of the acquaintances of my career in Country music, Garth Brooks. My uncle, Chris Buckner left a little of himself in everyone he touched when he left us last week.

As the mission, the struggle, continues we look back over our 9-years on the Internet and we realize that this might not be a Christmas that changes the world, but we're here, together, having survived a year that has changed our life, our world. Thank YOU for being part of the family and part of the fun.

Cheers!
Brad
