Greetings!
A Note from the Editor...
Spring has officially arrived and with it comes flowers, warmer weather and a host of holidays.
All of us at MITM hope that whatever holiday you choose to observe, whether it's Easter or Passover, it finds you happy and healthy. And of course we hope you make MITM part of your celebration as you gather with family and friends.
This issue is packed with plenty of great martini goodness. You'll get to know Joe Cozart, a business executive who has embarked on a journey to "Share the Martini." If you're going to be hosting any dinners, have no fear! The Reluctant Gourmet has whipped up two delicious spring recipes that are sure to please any crowd. Come meet singer, bandleader, entertainer, Dave Damiani, as well as read about station sponsors, Brad's call to action for Mother Miriam's birthday, a "battle" between the two biggest Dean Martin Fans in the world and an informative history on Scotch Whisky. No, it's not misspelled.
Spring is such a beautiful season, even with the weekly tornadoes that seem to blow through my neck of the woods. It's a time of new life and hope. Let's work together to breathe a fresh air into MITM by choosing to make a difference to keep the music playing.
As for my family, we wish you all a very Happy Easter...loaded with LOTS of chocolate peanut butter eggs!

What will I ramble about this time?

Marching for Mother Miriam
For 2013, the battle cry you will hear over and over is "Share the Martini." We know there are literally millions of people across the U.S. (and around the world) who love our music. The vast majority of them do not know where to find our music on the radio.
Our challenge - your challenge - is to find those music lovers and invite them to come for the music and stay to share the lifestyle and the sense of community.
So we've embarked on a growth campaign called "The March to 10,000." We're setting a goal of reaching 10,000 "likes" in Facebook by Mother Miriam's 75th birthday in June.
Click here to read more about how we'll do this, how you can help and why it's so doggone important.

Lizard Lifestyle
 Single Malt Whisky**
A History, a Process, a Pleasure
While Martinis might get most of the press in Notes from a Cocktail Napkin, we've been hearing about another lifestyle favorite -- Scotch. MITM listener and IBM engineer Judge Hocho provides details on the origins of this noble liquor, as well as ways to serve up the perfect glass.
**And for those of you who are bothered by misspellings, please know that Scottish single malt whisky does not have an "e" in it. This has driven our editor crazy!**

Fun with Food
Spring has Sprung!
...and The Reluctant Gourmet is back to serve it up deliciously! He shares two recipes that will pass the MITM Fun with Food test with flying colors.
From the "Things Go Better with Beer" department, the Reluctant Gourmet offers a savory pie worthy of the pint that you pour in. And what better way to kick off a celebration of spring than with a dish that has "spring" in its name?
Click here and roll yourself on into our Fun with Food column for recipes that hit the spot.
(Editor's Note: The MITM community joins Reluctant Gourmet G. Stephen Jones and his family as they mourn the loss of his Mother Birthe Helga Jones on March 20th. From G. Stephen Jones: She was from Denmark who came over to this country when she was 21 where she met my dad. Please let the "family" know how much I appreciate their support. It means a lot to me especially at times like this. |

last call
We've covered a lot of ground in this issue but it comes down to this; to live the lifestyle and keep playing the music that is the soundtrack of our lives, we've gotta grow (so Share the Martini); we've gotta pay the bills (be a supporter and/or sponsor) and when you use the Miracle Martini Player from our partners at RadioLoyalty.com, that generates the revenue that makes it all possible. Even now, when you leave the player on while you sleep, or leave it on at home during the day when you're at work, you're helping us find answers. But soon, with the new and dramatically improved Miracle Martini Player, you'll find a great listening experience that helps us pay the bills, and won't that be grand!
Thanks for listening and for your support!
Cheers!
