At P.F. Chang's we are committed to providing you with an exceptional dining experience every time you walk through our doors. Each dish on our menu is prepared to order using the freshest and highest quality ingredients.
Majestic 11 foot tall horses grace the entrance to many of the restaurants. The horse symbolizes the original Forbidden City in China, which was built for China's first emperor Qin Shi Huangdi.
At P.F. Chang's you are surrounded by a unique environment combining influences of Chinese and American cultures. A panoramic, hand-painted mural depicting 12th century China, is visible from the main dining room and commands attention as the restaurant's centerpiece, while several terra-cotta warriors stand guard. Motornation the premier traditional Hot Rod, Kustom, Motorcycle and Instructional "Netflix" style subscriber network! ... Coming 2015
If you owned your own company making all-steel deuce bodies what style of hot rod would you build?
We answer that very question with a masterpiece features on Brookville's new-look roadster and United Pacific's new 5-window coupe.
We take a peek behind the garage doors at a '36 Ford coupe in the build and then step over the fence and back in time to a Colorado junkyard long forgotten. Then in an article with a twist, editor Paul Martinez takes forward into the future for a look at a 3D printed car which is interesting and will have a hot rod connection.
Our event coverage focusses on the huge Barrett-Jackson auction and the fabulous Grand National Roadster Show. All this plus our regular columns and features.

A special THANKS to every company you see listed in our e-news magazine. They all support, in one way or another, our Make-A-Wish efforts, car shows and events. These are the folks that help to make it all happen! Tell 'em thanks! Episode #8 of Randy Grubb's Garage Randy Grubb has been ranked among the top 15 U.S. fabricators by Hot Rod. He built Jay Leno's Tank Car, the Indy Special, the B-702, Piss'd Off Pete, the DecoLiner, the DecoPods, and the body for the Bob Maddox Pulse Jet Lakester. Then Grubb got a call from his English pal, Tim "The Frogman" Cotterill, famous for his bronze sculptures of frogs, hawks, and owls. The Frog had designed a powerful, ultra-sleek machine with animal-like qualities that he called the Rocket 3. "It combines my love of choppers, trikes, hot rods, and dragsters," Frog said, and then he asked Randy to team up with him to build it. Earlier, the Frogman had built the Rocket 1, a trike he made famous in England. Next, after he moved to Venice, California, Frog built the muscular 1,000 horsepower blown Hemi Rocket 2. This monster does 0-100 in less than 5 seconds with a top end of 200! From mind to metal, now you can witness Randy' Grubb's complete build of Cotterill's Rocket 3. Its rear suspension is beautiful, cool, and crazy; it flexes just like a big cat on the run. And with its 430 horsepower Corvette engine, the Rocket 3 will scram, doing 0-60 in less than 4 seconds. AEROMOBIL 3.0
"Mark my word: A combination airplane and motorcar
is coming. You may smile, but it will come."
Henry Ford , 1940
Article Courtesy Katie Collins - Autopia - Wired.CO.UK
The world's most advanced flying car, AeroMobil 3.0, was unveiled today at Pioneers Festival in Vienna. WIRED first got its eyes on an AeroMobil prototype only a few months ago, at which point the unveiling the 3.0 model was slated for next year. But ahead of schedule, WIRED.co.uk has now seen AeroMobil 3.0 in person, which has folding insect-like wings and a spacecraft-sportscar cockpit not only in the flesh, but in flight, thanks to footage released by the team today.
Ther eare two primary applications of the vehicle -- overcoming traffic- and airport-related problems -- but there is a third, not entirely unrelated application too."There are still a lot of countries where there is not an infrastructure," says Vaculik.
Only three percent of the world has paved road and the AeroMobil team believes they have built the kind of vehicle capable of overcoming problems caused by lack of this infrastructure in many places.
To fly the car, you do need a pilot's license, but the pair claim that it is very stable and easy to control. Unfortunately, no matter how much you are willing to pay for the AeroMobil 3.0, the company is not taking any orders until it is sure it can start manufacturing them to standard. "We want to be a serious company. This is not a boy toy -- we are not building a prop for a Hollywood movie," says Vaculik. The final price will fall somewhere in between the price of a supercar and a small plane, he adds.

NATIONAL COLLECTOR CAR APPRECIATION DAY The SEMA Action Network (SAN) announced that the next "Collector Car Appreciation Day" will be celebrated on July 10, 2015. The date marks the sixth consecutive commemoration in what is now an annual event to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society. Intended to celebrate the classics of the past and the future, the U.S. Senate helped launch Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD) by passing Resolutions each year at the SAN's request. The previous resolutions were sponsored by Senator Jon Tester (D-MT), Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) and Senator Mark Begich (D-AK). The Senators have been strong advocates for the automotive hobby in Washington, D.C., and recognize the integral role collector cars have played in fostering our nation's appreciation for the automobile's unique historical place in our history.

JERRY MAGNUSON PASSES 1940
Jerry Magnuson passed March 1, 2015, after a battle with cancer. He was considered the father of aftermarket supercharging as it is known today. After building Indy cars with Dan Gurney, he started Magnuson in the '70s, supercharging motorcycles and drag bikes and grew it to be a leader in aftermarket superchargers. He sold Magnuson in 2010, and went on to start Trackmaster Products, where he designed and built world-class roadsters and hot-rod products. He was an entrepreneur and a visionary, a talented designer and fabricator and a true hot rodder. Association of California Car Clubs (ACCC)

In 1973, KICKER's Livin' Loud legacy began as a two-man operation, hand-building professional-speaker systems in a narrow one-car garage. With very few resources and an intense love for music, company founder and current President Steve Irby invented the mobile-stereo enclosure market in his northern Oklahoma community, when he developed the Original KICKER. It was the first full frequency-range speaker box designed specifically for cars and trucks. From that historic moment, delivering concert-like audio quality across a wide volume range with renowned bass and accurate sound has always been the KICKER way. KICKER graces the Stillwater, Okla., skyline and has stayed true to the values from which the company was built. KICKER products are designed and shipped from a 280,000-square-foot facility that houses nearly 200 energetic individuals who constantly push the limits of audio-design technology and performance. KICKER products are currently sold by approximately 1,200 authorized dealers in the United States, and export sales are managed through a network of distributors serving over 2,000 dealers in approximately 50 countries.

Leno suggests you actually check out what you put in your favorite ride. Photo courtesy AUTOWEEK CAN'T WE JUST GET RID OF ETHANOL? There have been a lot of old-car fires lately. I went through the '70s, the '80s and most of the '90s without ever having read much about car fires. Suddenly, they are happening all over the place. Here's one reason: The ethanol in modern gasoline-about 10 percent in many states-is so corrosive, it eats through either the fuel-pump diaphragm, old rubber fuel lines or a pot metal part, then leaks out on a hot engine ... and ka-bloooooie!!! As someone who collects old cars, and keeps them up religiously, I am now replacing fuel-pressure regulators every 12 to 18 months. New cars are equipped with fuel lines that are resistant to ethanol damage, but with older cars, the worst can happen-you're going down the road, and suddenly your car is on fire. CLICK on the photo to read the article at Autoweek. JAY LENO - In addition to being a comedian and TV host, Autoweek columnist Jay Leno has more than 280 cars and motorcycles in his collection.

AMERICAN RESTORATION
AMERICAN RESTORATION on the History Channel features Rick Dale and his crew at Ricks Restorations in Las Vegas, Nevada, as they take rusty, beat-up items and restore them to their original glory.
Whether its a giant gas pump from the 1940s or a Hopalong Cassidy bicycle from the 1950s, every restoration is a high-stakes business project where worthless rust is transformed into a valuable collectible. However, these restorations arent easy. Every project presents unique challenges for Rick and his team.
When it comes to restoration, Rick Dale is the Pawn Stars go-to guy. AMERICAN RESTORATION follows Rick's work as owner of Las Vegas-based Rick's Restorations, a family business that finds, restores and up-cycles cool objects ranging from Cadillacs to Coke Machines.
Rick's very nice Ford F-1 Pickup can be spotted on various episodes of American Restoration.

Ferrari parked in office 33 years heads toward $3.4 million sale
By Marco R. della Cava 6 hours ago Motoramic 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB-4 A guy in David Gooding's position is used to strange calls concerning cars. Whether it's a description of a faded hood ornament poking through hay in a barn or whisperings about a model that experts thought didn't exist, the auction company founder is typically unruffled when it comes to "Do I have a story for you" tales. But not this time. "The phone rang, and I was told about what was promised to be a very nice Ferrari that was sitting inside its former owner's office," says Gooding. "I didn't know quite what to make of this." So he went to see the car. What he found startled him: a rakish 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 parked in something that blended a den, office and garage. The Ferrari was more stationary sculpture than resting racer. But it was all there, and it was beautiful. "I walked in and didn't want to leave," says Gooding. "If I could have pulled up a cot, I would have." This 275 GTB/4 - which could bring between $3.4 and $3.8 million - is one of the highlights of Gooding and Company's upcoming Amelia Island auction on March 13, one of the big stops on the year's classic-autos calendar. Besides the elemental appeal of this increasingly prized Prancing Horse - a GTB/4 owned by actor and racer Steve McQueen sold for a staggering $10 million at auction last summer - its rarity is compounded by having lived with the same family for the past 43 years. What's more, it was parked in the owner's auto-themed office in 1982 - and was never driven again. CLICK on the photo above to read the article. CLICK on this photo to view the auction results.

Bill Hines Is Still Slinging Lead At Age 93
Bill & The Buddha Buggy during restoration.
Photos and text by Anna Marco
Editor's note: This piece comes to us from Anna Marco, senior feature editor at Koolhouse Publishing and a personal friend of hot rod legend Bill Hines. Among many other projects, as "Anna Octane," she leads vault tours at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles.
Legendary leadslinger Bill Hines is a self-made man, one whose love for cars has defeated his physical handicaps. He loves cars above all else. Period. He inspires us. After 70 plus years of working with lead and creating some of the most famous custom cars in automotive history (such as The Buddha Buggy and The Bat), today, at age 93, he can still be found in his shop working on projects such as a 1950 Merc (with frenched antennas for Jim Contreras), my own 1955 Studebaker, or his 1960 full-custom El Camino. He has ongoing tech features in Ol' Skool Rodz magazine on all of it too.
Hines started working on cars in Detroit in the early 1940s doing collision work, but had visions of customs cruising in his head. Harley Earl was a great influence on him. Since then, Bill has apprenticed the Alexander Brothers and Dick Dean, along with his grandson, Mitch Hines, who Bill claims has the ability to run circles around most body men today. Mitch can be found working alongside his grandfather and shop partner, John Paul Oates at Kustom Automotive in Long Beach, California.

Seconds after he stepped into the laundry room, he shouted to me, 'What setting do I use on the washing machine?' It depends, 'I replied. 'What does it say on your shirt?' He yelled back, 'University of Oklahoma'......and they say blondes are dumb.... --------------------
A man staggered into a hospital with a concussion, multiple bruises, two black eyes, and a five iron wrapped tightly around his throat. Naturally, the Doctor asked him, "What happened to you?" "Well, I was having a quiet round of golf with my wife, when at a difficult hole, we both sliced our balls into a cow pasture. We went to look for them and while I was looking around I noticed one of the cows had something white at its rear end. I walked over, lifted its tail, and sure enough, there was a golf ball with my wife's monogram on it - stuck right in the middle of the cow's behind. Still holding the cow's tail up, I yelled to my wife, "Hey, this looks like yours!" "I don't remember much after that."

FAQs For Classic Vehicle And Street Rod Owners
1: How often should I change my oil?
Quite simply - it depends. This certainly isn't the ideal answer, but it is the most honest one. Temperature plays a major role in the frequency of necessary oil change intervals. Every 20F increase in oil temperature beyond 220F shortens the life of the oil by 50%. This means cars that run very high oil temps will have much shorter oil life than cars that have moderate oil temperatures. Read On....
Designed Specifically For Hot Rods & Classic Vehicles
Well suited for a variety of hot rods, muscle cars and vintage vehicles. This oil is an excellent choice for big block muscle cars, blown street rods and engines with original seals. Features storage protection additives that guard against rust and corrosion during winter storage.
Good for flat tappet, overhead and roller cam engines. No ZDDP or additives required. Viscosity typical of 15W-50. Formerly referred to as HR1.
The Importance of ZDDP ZDDP is the critical anti-wear additive in motor oils. Here Lake Speed, Jr., Certified Lubrication Specialist at Driven Racing Oil™, explains how the proper balance of detergents and zinc are the key to protecting engines.

At the end of that year Dick closed the shop and moved to California to work for Barris. In 2005, Dick Dean was set to retire. His son, Keith Dean wanted to continue the "Dean" tradition . So where are all the remaining "Back to the Future" DeLoreans?

Back to the Future III off-roader car. Photo courtesy Profiles in History.
Article courtesy Daniel Strohl - Hemmings Daily
As mentioned in a Hemmings Daily recent story about the restoration of the Back to the Future A car, film crews used seven different vehicles over the course of all three films. The "hero" car is now ensconced in a clear display case in Universal's theme park, but what happened to all the rest of them?
Fortunately, Joe Walser gave us the rundown. All seven are accounted for - none have gone missing over the last 30 years - though only four remain. Of the three built for the first movie, the aforementioned A car has never left Universal's possession. The B car - used for most of the driving scenes and fitted with flamespitters near the wheels of the car - was destroyed during the filming for Back to the Future Part III; and the C car - a cutaway car used for filming interior scenes - still remains in Universal's possession, though not as an entire car (more on that in a minute).
While the A and B cars were brought out of storage for the second and third movies (which were filmed back-to-back), Universal ended up building another for Part II and three more for Part III. The fiberglass mockup built for Part II - intended to be hung from a crane for the flying car scenes - was destroyed by Universal after filming. And for Part III, Universal built the so-called "Oxnard car," fitted with train wheels for use in the rail scenes, along with two DeLoreans on sand rail chassis and with Volkswagen engines and transaxles for the off-road driving scenes.
The Oxnard car remains in Universal's possession and on display at Universal Studios Florida. One of the off-roader cars sold at auction in December 2011 for $440,000 ($541,200 including commission), making it the only screen-used car in private hands. Finally, the other off-roader car was combined with parts from the C car to be displayed at Universal Studios Japan.
As far as the rumors that one of the cars was fitted with a Porsche engine, Walser said that all the cars retained their original PRV V-6s; only the sounds of the De Lorean engines were replaced with those from Porsche engines.
Getting your hands on an original one may prove nigh impossible, but replicas of the three major versions (nuclear, Mr. Fusion, whitewall) seem to be all over the place these days.

One-off 1940 Oldsmobile Dynamic Series woodie wagon sells for $46,200 1940 Oldsmobile Dynamic wagon, one of one known to be built. Photos courtesy Bonhams - Article courtesy Kurt Ernst
Those wanting a station wagon from Oldsmobile during the 1940 model year had but a single choice: Purchase the base, Special series wagon, built on a 116-inch wheelbase.
At least one 1940 Oldsmobile Dynamic series wagon was custom built, however, and this one-of-one woodie crossed the block at Bonhams' inaugural Amelia Island auction, selling for a fee-inclusive price of $46,200.
Though the Special and Dynamic series models shared a 230-cu.in. inline six-cylinder engine, the latter models rode on a longer 120-inch wheelbase. Available body styles in the Dynamic range included four two-doors (convertible, business coupe, club coupe and sedan), and a single four-door in a sedan body style. Those wanting a wagon on the longer wheelbase platform had just one option: Buy a Dynamic model and ship it off to be rebodied by a company like Waterloo, New York's, Mid-State Body Company.
