At P.F. Chang's we are committed to providing you with an exceptional dining experience every time you walk through our doors. Each dish on our menu is prepared to order using the freshest and highest quality ingredients.
Majestic 11 foot tall horses grace the entrance to many of the restaurants. The horse symbolizes the original Forbidden City in China, which was built for China's first emperor Qin Shi Huangdi.
At P.F. Chang's you are surrounded by a unique environment combining influences of Chinese and American cultures. A panoramic, hand-painted mural depicting 12th century China, is visible from the main dining room and commands attention as the restaurant's centerpiece, while several terra-cotta warriors stand guard. Hot Rod Vacuum for the Rodfather! Article courtesy Goodguys Hot News
During the annual Bay Area Roadsters Christmas Party (held in Jackson, California), our friend Dave Schaub (who once drove his '32 roadster through all 49 states in 7 days to benefit the Ronald McDonald House) made a fellow club member way happy!
Per club tradition, members draw names of fellow members out of a hat for the annual gift exchange. Schaub drew none other than the Rodfather himself Andy Brizio! And then he got busy.
Schaub built what has to be the coolest 50s-era vintage vacuum cleaner we've ever seen! Phil Whetstone did the paint and flames to match Andy's flamed purple deuce hiboy roadster. It also features a hot dog hood ornament, VW pushrod tubes for the exhaust and a 1965 VW turn signal on the top!
Talk about the ultimate hot rod Christmas gift! Word has it that the Rodfather was nearly moved to tears and the whole party flipped out over just how cool this thing really is.
Well done Dave Schaub-Claus! You're the man!

Association of California Car Clubs (ACCC)
REPRESENTING COLLECTOR VEHICLE HOBBYISTS IN CALIFORNIA SINCE 1972
The Association of California Car Clubs (ACCC) is a volunteer organization with regional representatives who represent the interests of individual members and member clubs across the state. The ACCC consists of thousands of automobile hobbyists throughout the state who are interested in California laws and policies regarding collector automobiles.
Hobby clubs and individuals joining the ACCC contribute to the protection of the hobby and are kept informed of the latest issues affecting our clubs.
These representatives form the Board of Directors, serve without pay and are elected from the pool of active auto enthusiasts in this state This 42-liter Packard-powered Bentley is for real Motrheads Courtesy Road & Track Cramming a war-surplus PT boat engine into an Eight-liter Bentley chassis might not seem like the most sensible plan, but watching this thing shake and roar itself awake will hammer that sense back into you with the force of 3.5-liter pistons. As you might expect, once those massive shorty header pipes start spitting flames, you should be able to shake off the last vestiges of your too-short slumber and get with the weekday program. Music...It's deep in our roots. We live it, breathe it and make it kick! In 1973, KICKER's Livin' Loud legacy began as a two-man operation, hand-building professional-speaker systems in a narrow one-car garage. With very few resources and an intense love for music, company founder and current President Steve Irby invented the mobile-stereo enclosure market in his northern Oklahoma community, when he developed the Original KICKER. It was the first full frequency-range speaker box designed specifically for cars and trucks. From that historic moment, delivering concert-like audio quality across a wide volume range with renowned bass and accurate sound has always been the KICKER way. KICKER graces the Stillwater, Okla., skyline and has stayed true to the values from which the company was built. KICKER products are designed and shipped from a 280,000-square-foot facility that houses nearly 200 energetic individuals who constantly push the limits of audio-design technology and performance. KICKER products are currently sold by approximately 1,200 authorized dealers in the United States, and export sales are managed through a network of distributors serving over 2,000 dealers in approximately 50 countries. The most effective way to remember your Wife's birthday is to forget it once..........

Two inexperienced hunters went hunting in the woods. Before long they got lost. "Don't worry," said the first hunter, "I heard that when you're lost you should fire three shots in the air that someone should hear you." They fired three shots in the air and waited a half hour. They tried again another three and nothing happened. Finally they decided they will try it once more. "This better work," said the second hunter nervously. "These are our last arrows!"
-----------------
An elderly man came into my office one day with his wife complaining he wasn't feeling well . After examining him the I took his wife aside, and said, "your husband has a heart condition. I am afraid he's not going to make it, unless you treat him like a king, which means you are at his every beck and call, 24 hours a day and make sure he doesn't do anything himself. When I walked out of the room for a minute I overhear the man ask his wife worriedly "what did he say?" "Well", the lady responded, "he said it looks like you probably won't make it."
Jay, Tom and Paul were at a convention together sharing a large suite at the top of a 75-story hotel. After a long day of meetings, they were shocked to hear that the elevators in their hotel were broken, and they would have to climb 75 flights of stairs to get to their room.
Jay said to Tom and Paul, "Let's break the monotony of this unpleasant task by concentrating on something interesting. I'll tell jokes for 25 flights, Tom can sing songs for the next 25 flights and Paul will tell sad stories for the rest of the way."
At the 26th floor, Jay stopped telling jokes and Jim began to sing. At the 51st floor, Tom stopped singing and Paul began to tell sad stories.
"I will tell my saddest story first," he said. "I left the room key in the car."
One-Off Diamond-Layout 1960 Pininfarina X Heads to Auction Photos courtesy Barrett-Jackson.
Zero point two-zero, or better than the Tatra T77 and almost as good as the GM EV1. That's the coefficient of drag rating for the 1960 Pininfarina X, one of the most aerodynamic cars built and one of the oddest, thanks to its diamond-shaped wheel layout. It also makes it the most aerodynamically efficient vehicle to cross the block at next month's Barrett-Jackson sale.
Other prototypes and even production cars used the unconventional diamond layout over the years. Sunbeam produced a hundred or so around the turn of the century, Wolseley and Voisin had each proposed such a vehicle before World War II, and a California tinkerer named H. Gordon Hansen designed and built his own Gordon Diamond by 1947, but all for different reasons. Hansen, for instance, designed his largely as a safety car and figured that the best way to fit a perimeter bumper to a car was to rearrange the positions of the wheels.
The X remained in Pininfarina's possession until 2007, when Pininfarina's museum sold the unrestored car. Three years later, collector car dealer Aero Toy Store in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, began to offer the X for sale, first on Hemmings.com for $1.35 million and shortly after on the company's own site for $3 million. The X now will cross the block with no reserve.
Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale auction will take place January 10-18, 2015. For more information, visit Barrett-Jackson.com.

Bonnie & Clyde Getaway Car
In early 1934, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow stole a V8 Ford and drove it around the Midwest, robbing and killing people.
That joyride ended when lawmen punctured the car (and Bonnie and Clyde) with over 100 armor-piercing bullets.
On the way back from the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the Kohout's made a pit stop at Whiskey Pete's in Primm Valley, Nevada and ran across this Ford Sedan. It was in a glass case so the photos are not the greatest.

ACME TRADING COMPANY Acme Diecast is pleased to announce the second release in the series of six models dedicated to the special WT color series that Shelby offered in 1968. This is Shelby's 1968 GT350 finished in a brilliant yellow that was designated WT6066. In 1968 only, Shelby had six rare paint codes designated as "WT" colors, and Carroll only made 159 cars in total using these six colors. But there's a secret treasure trove of automotive relics that still exists: Car Hoards -- the last frontier of the American Classic Car. Now, WWE superstar Chuck Palumbo and hot rod guru, Rick Dore are out to rebuild legendary cars and help car hoarders thin out their stockpiles of classic cars in LORDS OF THE CAR HOARDS. Each episode of LORDS OF THE CAR HOARDS features Dore and Palumbo helping car hoarders by offering them a deal: pick one dream car from their overcrowded car collection to rebuild while covering the costs of the remake by parting with and selling other cars and car parts from their massive hoard. Every hoard is a surprise, a treasure hunt, and Palumbo and Dore don't always know what they're getting into. The pressure is on and they don't always get along, but together they have a passion for cars that touches these hoarders' lives, changing them forever. grace the covers and pages of hot rod magazines, including Rod & Custom, Rodder's Journal and Custom Rodder. On Discovery - Mondays 10/9 Central Petersen Museum's Bulldog Cafe Saved from Demolition The Petersen's Bulldog Cafe in happier times. Photos by Forest Casey, unless otherwise noted. Artile courtesy Kurt Ernst - Hemmings Daily From 1928 until its post-1966 demolition, the Bulldog Cafe, a free-standing structure in the shape of a pipe-smoking bulldog, stood guard at 1153 West Washington Boulevard in Los Angeles, selling tamales and ice cream to hungry passers-by. Recreated (in slightly smaller scale) within the Petersen Automotive Museum, the Bulldog Cafe gave visitors a glimpse of L.A.'s once-prevalent programmatic architecture. When the interior redesign of the Petersen called for demolition of the dog, it was serial entrepreneur and preservationist Bobby Green that came to the rescue, saving the replica Bulldog Cafe from its scrapyard fate. The Bulldog Cafe under construction in 1994. Image courtesy of The Petersen Museum. As the automobile became the preferred method of transportation in Southern California, business owners sought ways to make their establishments more noticeable, and one popular method involved constructing buildings in the shape of everyday objects. Known as programmatic architecture, the trend gave rise to businesses shaped like hats (The Brown Derby), airplanes (The Airplane Cafe), women in hoop skirts (Betsy Ann, an ice cream and candy shop), dogs (The Pup Cafe and the Bulldog Cafe), pigs (The Pig Cafe) and even whiskey barrels (The Idle Hour Cafe). The trend wasn't limited to Southern California, either, as examples of bizarrely shaped businesses can be found as far east as New Jersey, which claims Lucy the Margate elephant (whose 1881 construction predates the rise of the automobile) as its own. By the late 1950s, the trend had largely come and gone, with many such buildings eventually bulldozed to make room for more modern structures. CLICK on the photo to read the article and more photos.

FAQs For Classic Vehicle And Street Rod Owners1: How often should I change my oil? Quite simply - it depends. This certainly isn't the ideal answer, but it is the most honest one. Temperature plays a major role in the frequency of necessary oil change intervals. Every 20F increase in oil temperature beyond 220F shortens the life of the oil by 50%. This means cars that run very high oil temps will have much shorter oil life than cars that have moderate oil temperatures. Read On.... Designed Specifically For Hot Rods & Classic VehiclesWell suited for a variety of hot rods, muscle cars and vintage vehicles. This oil is an excellent choice for big block muscle cars, blown street rods and engines with original seals. Features storage protection additives that guard against rust and corrosion during winter storage. Good for flat tappet, overhead and roller cam engines. No ZDDP or additives required. Viscosity typical of 15W-50. Formerly referred to as HR1. The Importance of ZDDPZDDP is the critical anti-wear additive in motor oils.
