Roadmap to Excellence - The Journey to Your Success

Edward Marx to speak at FWPMI PDC 2016

Edward Marx, former CIO of the Year will be the keynote speaker at this year's Professional Development Conference (PDC) scheduled for May 27, 2016. He was named the HIMSS/CHIME CIO of the year in 2013 while he was CIO at Texas Health Resources.  He will speak to conference attendees about overcoming limitations and realizing that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary greatness.

According to Marx, he was raised from humble beginnings and struggled through adolescence and early adult years. His life's journey provided him with many experiences which he has translated into the rules he lives by every day. Ed will share with us how he's integrated these rules into his daily life which resulted in even more extraordinary experiences. He believes that if you take the stories to heart, you can be inspired to create your own extraordinary life.

PMI Fort Worth Partners with PMIEF Grantee to Sponsor Special Award

Chapter works locally to bring project management awareness to an existing youth competition program.

The Fort Worth Chapter has developed a creative way to engage with local youth, and increase their awareness of project management, through a popular national student competition program.

Future City is a program that allows 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to think like engineers by identifying problems, brainstorming ideas, designing solutions, and sharing their results at local, regional, and national competitions.

By sponsoring a special award, the Forth Worth Chapter recognizes a project team whose members work to best manage risk in their "city" projects.
