Joining Forces         
PMI is proud to partner with the United States Federal Government on an inspiring initiative known as Joining Forces.
 
The Joining Forces program is a non-partisan national initiative led by the White House in support of service members, veterans and their families. The initiative is intended to mobilize public and private sectors to ensure that these individuals have the tools and resources they need to succeed throughout their lives.
 
In the spirit of "Serving those who have Served" the Fort Worth Chapter has launched a Military Outreach program with the following objectives:
 
*Provide networking and educational opportunities for local veterans and active duty personnel interested in transitioning into Project Management
*Assist local companies interested in supporting the successful transition of veterans
*Tap into trained leaders from the military to help FWPMI increase the community of servant leaders
*Increase awareness of PMI and FWPMI and contribute to community outreach
*Increase certifications of members, through training, education and mentorship
*Increase general membership in our local chapter

Roadmap to Excellence - The Journey to Your Success

Call for Volunteers for the following Committees -
 
Speaker - Identifies keynote speaker and session speakers for the event, serves as liaison to the speakers for all aspects of speaker support - contract execution, travel arrangement (if applicable), topic relevance, and day of event support.
 
Sponsorship - Seek companies/vendors to sponsor PDC 2016, engage companies/vendors to participate in the vendor showcase, complete sponsor paperwork, assure that sponsors feel that they are a valuable asset to the success of PDC 2016, and constant contact with sponsors to receive payment.
 
Registration - Design and configure processes for registration, compile speaker and session data into online event registration system and provide regular registration reporting to Volunteer team.
 
Volunteer - Assure that the appropriate number of volunteers are available for the planning and execution of PDC 2016, coordinate volunteer assignments and activities, deliver training for the day of event.
 
Marketing/Communications - Responsible for all signage for the event, program design/development/production,  all communications for the event - Emails, Postcards, Newsletters, Social Media - Facebook/Twitter.
 
Estimated time commitment - 4-8 hours per month November - May, in person and virtual.
Reward - Earn PDUs for volunteering and complimentary registration to the Professional Development Conference.

Update your VRMS Profile!
Have you checked out your profile in PMI's Volunteer Relationship Management System (VRMS)?  This system tracks your volunteer roles and provides a way for chapters and communities of practice to "match" your interests with open volunteer opportunities.

Member Referral Program 
The Word of mouth is one of the most effective ways to recruit prospective members to the Chapter.  The Fort Worth Chapter is proud to be recognized as the Friendly Chapter and YOU are the most effective marketing tool we have to promote the value of our membership.  To incentivize our members to recruit prospective members, we are introducing a Member Referral Program.

Any Chapter member in good standing can refer a potential member to join the Chapter.  For each referred member who joins the Chapter, the referring Chapter member is eligible to be entered into a drawing at the end of the calendar year.  There is no limitation on the number of referrals by a Chapter member.  The Chapter will award 3 prizes - for the top 3 Referrals:

Chapter Member profile information comes from PMI global weekly.  If you want to update your profile information, you must do so at  myPMI Profile Personal Information, and the information will be updated on the Fort Worth Chapter site within 2 weeks.
