NEWS & OPPORTUNITIES
Brad Worley receives 2015 PMI Chapter Award for Volunteer of the Year in Category III!
This award is given in recognition for the dedication and visionary leadership which successfully led the chapter's many member focused initiatives.  Brad has spent untold hours of volunteer efforts for the PMI Fort Worth Chapter and set a standard for volunteerism that few can emulate.

Under Brad's servant leadership style, the Chapter has improved our level of financial and operational maturity.  Specifically, the Chapter:
  • Has a formal annual budgeting process and operates with an established budget
  • Has comprehensive financial policies and manual including budget planning, financial reporting, and accounting activities
  • Maintains healthy reserve funds in compliance with PMI policy
  • Ensures tax filings are handled by a professional accountant
  • Performs an annual audit or review of the books
  • Utilizes integrated financial systems and control mechanisms
Brad has laid out a vision with specific goals for the team to grow from a Capability Maturity Level of 3 in 2014 to Level 4 in 2015 and Level 5 in 2016 with continuous improvement activities already underway in the following areas:
  • Transaction handling to be fully automated
  • Actuals to be reported monthly with revised forecast
  • Chapter to have Errors and Omissions insurance
As a direct result of Brad's Volunteer Leadership service in Finance/Operations, the Chapter's fiscal health allows for subsidized events such as No Chapter Left Behind, Sister Chapter Program, Scholarships, Lunch/Dinner Meetings, and non-member outreach.

Brad represents the many unsung PMI volunteers whose efforts and service make it possible to be the award winning chapter we've become.

Member Referral Program
The Word of mouth is one of the most effective ways to recruit prospective members to the Chapter.  The Fort Worth Chapter is proud to be recognized as the Friendly Chapter and YOU are the most effective marketing tool we have to promote the value of our membership.  To incentivize our members to recruit prospective members, we are introducing a Member Referral Program.

Any Chapter member in good standing can refer a potential member to join the Chapter.  For each referred member who joins the Chapter, the referring Chapter member is eligible to be entered into a drawing at the end of the calendar year.  There is no limitation on the number of referrals by a Chapter member.  The Chapter will award 3 prizes - for the top 3 Referrals:

$100 Amazon Gift Card
1-year Chapter Membership

 1-year Chapter Membership$25 value

In addition to the prizes, all referring members along with the referred members who joined the Chapter will be invited to a recognition dinner/networking event hosted by the Board.
