NEWS & OPPORTUNITIES
Chapter Bylaw Ratification Voting Begins January 23rd
Every three years, PMI requires each PMI chapter to review and (potentially) update their governing bylaws.  The good news is that no substantial changes have been made to our bylaws in this cycle.  However, we recognize that even when there are no changes to the bylaws, there are changes to our membership. Those members who ratified the bylaws three years ago and those who will be approving the bylaws today are different.  Your Board of Directors believes you are entitled to read and review these bylaws prior to voting on them and encourage you to do so.

What has changed?

1. Chapter bylaw Articles and Sections numbering or organization were revised slightly to more closely align with the current PMI bylaw template.  No significant content was added or removed.

2. PMI's bylaw template includes a new Section 5 in Article XIII - Dissolution which clarifies that dissolution of the chapter entity must be approved by a majority of the members voting on the motion to dissolve (unless superseded by law).  This has been added.

Please click here to access the bylaws you'll be asked to vote on.  On January 23rd, chapter members will receive an email with voting instructions.  Voting will remain open through January 31st.  Your vote is important!

Member Referral Program
The Word of mouth is one of the most effective ways to recruit prospective members to the Chapter.  The Fort Worth Chapter is proud to be recognized as the Friendly Chapter and YOU are the most effective marketing tool we have to promote the value of our membership.  To incentivize our members to recruit prospective members, we are introducing a Member Referral Program.

Any Chapter member in good standing can refer a potential member to join the Chapter.  For each referred member who joins the Chapter, the referring Chapter member is eligible to be entered into a drawing at the end of the calendar year.  There is no limitation on the number of referrals by a Chapter member.  The Chapter will award 3 prizes - for the top 3 Referrals:

$100 Amazon Gift Card
1-year Chapter Membership
$125 value
$50 Amazon Gift Card
1-year Chapter Membership
$75 value
 1-year Chapter Membership$25 value

In addition to the prizes, all referring members along with the referred members who joined the Chapter will be invited to a recognition dinner/networking event hosted by the Board.

To refer a prospective member, send an email to [email protected] and include the full name of the individual being referred as well as their PMI membership number. The referral must occur prior to the prospective member joining the Chapter.
