NEWS & OPPORTUNITIES
Chapter Bylaw Ratification Voting Begins January 18th
Every three years, PMI requires each PMI chapter to review and (potentially) update their governing bylaws.  The good news is that no substantial changes have been made to our bylaws in this cycle.  However, we recognize that even when there are no changes to the bylaws, there are changes to our membership. Those members who ratified the bylaws three years ago and those who will be approving the bylaws today are different.  Your Board of Directors believes you are entitled to read and review these bylaws prior to voting on them and encourage you to do so.

What has changed?

1. Chapter bylaw Articles and Sections numbering or organization were revised slightly to more closely align with the current PMI bylaw template.  No significant content was added or removed.

2. PMI's bylaw template includes a new Section 5 in Article XIII - Dissolution which clarifies that dissolution of the chapter entity must be approved by a majority of the members voting on the motion to dissolve (unless superseded by law).  This has been added.

Please click here to access the bylaws you'll be asked to vote on.  On January 18th, chapter members will receive an email with voting instructions.  Voting will remain open through January 31st.  Your vote is important!
