Meeting Regular Price Change
Effective July 1, 2014 Did you know that in the Chapter's 23 year history we've never changed the regular meeting price? It's been $25 (members' price) all that time. As a matter of fact, we've always subsidized the dinner meeting event and have been fortunate to have the financial resources to do so. But we also have to be fiscally responsible and so the Board has made the decision to increase the regular price for meetings by five dollars.
What does this mean to you? For most of you, nothing! Most of our members (85-90%) register well in advance to take advantage of the early bird pricing. We appreciate it! The early bird price will still be $20 for Chapter members. Only those who wait till the last minute or don't register at all and walk-in will be impacted.
Why change only the regular pricing? The primary reason for the change is to encourage people to register in advance. We want to continue to hold high quality events for all attendees. That requires advanced planning to ensure we order enough food and set up enough tables for everyone. This is difficult when there are large numbers of unregistered attendees. A five dollar price difference is not enough incentive then perhaps a ten dollar difference will be.
The details....
The regular rate will increase for all categories effective July 1, 2014. |
