  • Enter your passcode: 819898
  • Go to www.cccconfer.org
  • Click the Meetings tab at the top of the screen or the Join a Class or Meeting Button at the bottom of the screen
  • Locate your meeting and click Connect
  • Fill out the form using passcode 819898 and click Connect


As always, past webinars can be accessed via the AEBG Webinar Series page.  Click on "Listen to Recording" to access the webinar. You will be connected to the CCCConfer webpage where you will have to enter your name and email address and click "connect" to listen to and view the archive webinar.

Article4New Due Date: Data and Accountability Budget and Work Plan Now Due February 20, 2017
Based on feedback from the AEBG Summit, the State AEBG Office will be providing you additional time to submit your Data and Accountability budget, work plan, and to upload your online budget into the AEBG financial reporting system.  The new deadline will be February 20, 2017. This provides an extra two months to work on your plans. Look for more information from the State AEBG Office regarding data and accountability soon.
 
Note: If you do want to submit your budget, work plan, and upload your budget earlier than the extended deadline of 2/20/17, please e-mail the AEBG inbox, aebg@cccco.edu, and request your data and accountability funding password that will allow you to upload your budget (and also submit the required budget & work plan template as instructed via e-mail to the AEBG inbox).

Article4AEBG Technical Assistance RFA Released, Proposals Due November 14th
The CCCCO and CDE announced on October 5th, the release of the Technical Assistance RFA. The California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) and The California Department of Education (CDE) are soliciting districts that are qualified to serve as the fiscal agent for the statewide technical assistance (TA), coordination, and capacity building assistance to Adult Education Consortia. 


The bidder's conference, held on October 19th, was recorded and is available by CLICKING HERE.  


Request for Applications, Instructions, Specification, Terms, and Conditions describe opportunities and application requirements for this competitive grant opportunity. Materials can be accessed using the link below.





Article42016 AEBG Annual Summit Materials Now Available
The 2016 AEBG Annual Summit was held last week. The theme for this year's summit, "Moving the Needle", focused on the progress and changes that are impacting adult education. We thank those who helped to make this event a success including the presenters, volunteers, and attendees! Check out last Friday's webinar recording for highlights from the event by CLICKING HERE

Article4Equity Summit at Skyline College December 9
The Equity Summit at Skyline College is an opportunity for educators to engage in a teaching and learning experience centered on educational equity. There will be a series of experiences that participants can witness from equity talks to plenary sessions. The event is free but registration is required due to limited seating.

Article4CA Perkins Joint Special Population Advisory Committee Annual Conference December 1-2
On behalf of the CA Perkins Joint Special Populations Advisory Committee (JSPAC), the 2016 Special Populations Conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Capitol Plaza, Sacramento, CA on December 1, 2016 - December 2, 2016 and a Preconference November 30, 2016. 


The JSPAC is a collaborative effort between the California Department of Education (CDE) and the California Community College Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) with a mission to promote equity and success in CTE for students from special populations, by providing educators research based professional development, instructional strategies and resources.



This is a wonderful opportunity for CTE and Academic Educators, Counselors, Administrators, Student support staff, Grant coordinators, Title IX/OCR Professionals, AEBG recipients, Strong Workforce recipients, SB1070 recipients, and WIOA recipients to get strategies and face-to-face advice from their colleagues.


Some benefits attendees will receive by attending the conference.

Article4National Apprenticeship Week: Nov 14-20, Events Across California 
National Apprenticeship Week is November 14-20 and is a week to recognize the important role Apprentices play in offering employers an opportunity to develop a highly skilled workforce to help grow their business and career seekers the chance to earn a salary while learning the skills necessary to succeed. To mark this week, 29 events across California, including apprenticeship fairs and facilities tours, will be held to highlight apprenticeship programs.
