How to Connect to the Webinars: 
  • Dial your telephone conference line: (888) 886-3951
  • Cell phone users dial: 913-312-3202
  • Enter your passcode: 819898
  • Go to www.cccconfer.org
  • Click the Meetings tab at the top of the screen or the Join a Class or Meeting Button at the bottom of the screen
  • Locate your meeting and click Connect
  • Fill out the form using passcode 819898 and click Connect
Note: Please notice that the webinar passcode has been changed from previous webinars.  



As always, past webinars can be accessed via the AEBG Webinar Series page.  Click on "Listen to Recording" to access the webinar. You will be connected to the CCCConfer webpage where you will have to enter your name and email address and click "connect" to listen to and view the archive webinar.



Please note that some participants have been having trouble connecting to CCCConfer webinars possibly due to a system upgrade to Windows 10. Article32016 AEBG Annual Summit: Moving the Needle
The 2016 AEBG Annual Summit: Moving the Needle is on Tuesday, November 1, from 10:30AM to 5:00PM and Wednesday, November 2, from 8:30AM to 12:30PM at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento located at 1230 J Street, Sacramento, CA. Event check-in will begin at 9:00 AM on November 1, and the Summit will kick off at 10:30 AM.
 
The theme for this year's summit, "Moving the Needle", focuses on the progress and change that impacts adult education. Additionally, areas such as WIOA alignment, performance measures, data collection, consortia effectiveness and shaping the long-term vision for California's adult education system will be addressed. 


The AEBG team has lined up a great group of speakers and presenters.  The summary agenda is now available on the AEBG.cccco.edu summit page or by clicking the link below. Attendees will receive instructions via email today on how to access the detailed agenda with breakout descriptions and featured speaker bios. Agenda details and event materials will be available online following the summit.


 
 
Article4AEBG Technical Assistance RFA Released, Proposals Due November 14th
The CCCCO and CDE announced on October 5th, the release of the Technical Assistance RFA. The California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) and The California Department of Education (CDE) are soliciting districts that are qualified to serve as the fiscal agent for the statewide technical assistance (TA), coordination, and capacity building assistance to Adult Education Consortia. 


The bidder's conference, held on October 19th, was recorded and is available by CLICKING HERE.  


Request for Applications, Instructions, Specification, Terms, and Conditions describe opportunities and application requirements for this competitive grant opportunity. Materials can be accessed using the link below.





Article4Reminder: 2016-17 AEBG Consortium Budgets are Due by 10.31.16
Just a reminder: the 2016/17 AEBG Consortium Budgets are due by 10/31/16 in the Expense and Reporting System. The AEBG Office will review and approve the budget submission during the month of November.  


The next due dates to be aware of are as follows:
  • The 2015/16 and 2016/17 budget revisions are due by 12/20/16 prior to the January 2017 expenditure reporting period.
  • The Data and Accountability Work Plan and Budget are due by 12/20/16.  Passwords and access to the Data and Accountability accounts will be sent out the week of November 7th.


Article4OTAN Website Offers Great Resources for Consortia
The Outreach and Technical Assistance Network for Adult Education (OTAN) offers excellent resources that may be useful to your region.  An example is their monthly digests published for administrators and teachers.  The digests feature news, research and best practices relevant to administrators and teachers.  The archived digests can be accessed by CLICKING HERE.

The AEBG Office has placed in the AEBG Resource webpage links to the CDE and CCCO's accounting manuals.  For K-12 and County Offices, refer to the California School Accounting Manual, and for community colleges, refer to the Budget and Accounting Manual.
