Article32016 AEBG Annual Summit: Moving the Needle
The summit is on Tuesday, November 1, from 10:30AM to 5:00PM and Wednesday, November 2, from 8:30AM to 12:30PM at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento located at 1230 J Street, Sacramento, CA. Event check-in will begin at 9:00 AM on November 1, and the Summit will kick off at 10:30 AM.
 
The theme for this year's summit, "Moving the Needle", focuses on the progress and change that impacts adult education. Additionally, areas such as WIOA alignment, performance measures, data collection, consortia effectiveness and shaping the long-term vision for California's adult education system will be addressed. 


The AEBG team has lined up a great group of speakers and presenters so stay tuned for updates including the Summit agenda, speakers, and breakout sessions by visiting the AEBG.cccco.edu summit page
 
 
Article4AEBG Technical Assistance RFA Released, Bidder's Conference Today at 1PM
The CCCCO and CDE announced on October 5th, the release of the Technical Assistance RFA. The California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) and The California Department of Education (CDE) are soliciting districts that are qualified to serve as the fiscal agent for the statewide technical assistance (TA), coordination, and capacity building assistance to Adult Education Consortia.

Article4Reminder: 2016-17 AEBG Consortium Budgets are Due by 10.31.16
Just a reminder that the 2016/17 AEBG Consortium Budgets are due by 10/31/16 in the Expense and Reporting System. The AEBG Office will review and approve the budget submission during the month of November.  Additionally, the 2015/16 and 2016/17 budget revisions are due by 12/20/16 prior to the January 2017 expenditure reporting period.



Article4Strong Workforce Program Crosswalk
AEBG consortia are encouraged to reach out to Community College Regional Consortia Chair to engage on the Strong Workforce Program (SWP).  See the link below for a crosswalk of various regional planning efforts and who is the CTE Regional Consortia Chair in your area. The Strong Workforce Program is to facilitate program coordination and alignment with other workforce training, education, and employment services in the state, and operate in a manner that complies with the California Strategic Workforce Development Plan, including the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity, adult education block grant consortia, and K-12 career technical education programs.

The AEBG Office has placed in the AEBG Resource webpage links to the CDE and CCCO's accounting manuals.  For K-12 and County Offices, refer to the California School Accounting Manual, and for community colleges, refer to the Budget and Accounting Manual.
