AEBG Annual Plan Approval & 16-17 Funding
The AEBG Office is currently reviewing the recently submitted 16-17 AEBG annual plan.  Once approved, a letter will be sent to your consortium acknowledging approval of the plan, the green light to start spending, and instructions on how to file your 16-17 AEBG online budget.  AEBG funding is being processed at the State level and all fiscal agents and direct funded members will begin receiving a monthly disbursement of funds shortly.  Links to the apportionment schedules will be posted on the website.

Article82016 AEBG Annual Summit Registration Information Sent

Your AEBG Regional Consortium is invited to send four representatives to participate in the 2016 AEBG Adult Education Summit: Moving the Needle on Tuesday, November 1, 10:30AM - 5:00PM, and Wednesday, November 2, 8:30AM - 2:00PM at the Sheraton Grand in Sacramento (1230 J Street, Sacramento, CA).  Event check-in will begin at 9:00 AM on November 1, and the Summit will kick off at 10:30 AM.

This year's Annual AEBG Summit theme, "Moving the Needle", will focus on WIOA alignment, performance measures, data collection, and consortia effectiveness as well as shaping the long-term vision for California's adult education system.

Registration and hotel reservation information have been sent to the primary contacts for each of the regional consortia. Please work within your regions to determine who will represent your region at the event and coordinate registration through your consortium's primary contact. Participants will need to register and make hotel reservations by September 30th.

Stay tuned for updates including the Summit agenda, speakers and breakoutsessions by visiting the AEBG.cccco.edu summit page

Note: The AEBG office will be seeking volunteers to assist with the summit. Individuals who would like to volunteer will not count against a region's four representatives. More information on how to volunteer is coming soon.  Additioanally, regions who are interested in sending more than four representatives can notify us via the AEBG inbox. The AEBG Office will keep a waiting list in the event that extra spots become available.

Article8Regional Consortia Invited to Submit a Presentation Proposal for the 2016 AEBG Annual Summit
Please consider submitting a presentation proposal to share your successes at the 2016 AEBG Summit. Proposals that support and demonstrate progress and innovation in the areas of data collection, WIOA/program alignment, student case management, student tracking in a regional setting, seamless transition, and student acceleration are encouraged. Please submit the Summit Presentation Proposal Form using the link below by September 9, 2016.

Important Note: Although the lead speaker must be from an AEBG regional consortium, they may have assistance on the presentation from a subcontractor(s) that is considered an expert in the field. Outside vendors who assist with a presentation do not count against the four representatives for the consortium, but those outside presenters should register for the conference as well. ALL PRESENTERS MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND THE CONFERENCE. Acceptance of a proposal does not automatically register presenters. In order to allow all attendees the opportunity to benefit from your presentation, you may be asked to repeat your breakout session.
