Article1AEBG Data and Accountability
Instructions and Guidance
The AEBG Office has released the AEBG Data and Accountability instructions.  The funding will be used to:
  • Resolve AEBG data collection needs required by AB104,
  • Foster regional and local system integration, coordinate regional intake, assessment, and referral,
  • Ultimately connect to a state level AEBG Data System.
Instructions have been released (see below or CLICK HERE). Budget and work plans will be due by December 20, 2017. Funding is good through December 31, 2017 with a final expenditure and progress report due in January 2018 and close out report in February 2018. Budgets, expenditures, and progress will be reported, using a separate code (15-328-XX), via the current online reporting system (used under AB86, and currently being used by AB104).

Important documents and events concerning this funding:

See the link to the allocations by consortia. Please note - both columns on the data and accountability funding sheet (including the unspent funding) will be tracked and included on the data and accountability workplans, budgets, and online tracking of expenses & progress.

Article1Processing 16-17 AEBG Funding
The 2016-17 preliminary allocation schedule was posted in February 2016.  The Board of Governors is scheduled to approve the $500M AEBG funding at their July board meeting.  Once the State has Board approval, the final 2016-17 apportionment schedules will be processed and posted on the AEBG website for 2016-17.  We anticipate the final apportionment schedules to be posted in August.

If your accounting office is in need of an "Intent to Award letter" and/or a "Preliminary Schedule,"  please visit the following links:

3. Chancellor's Office apportionment schedule posted on their Fiscal Division webpage (will be posted this summer)

Please remind your accounting offices that the AEBG funding is apportionment - not a grant and in turn, there will be no
face sheets, no terms, no conditions, and no signatures required for AEBG apportionment funds.

Also, a reminder that Consortia Members will need local board approval for 16-17 AEBG funding.  We discourage consortia members from waiting for the final allocation schedule, which will be released this summer, to request board approval since this may cause a delay in expending 2016-17 funds.  You can use the Intent to Award Letter, preliminary allocation schedule and a print out of the signed CFAD (see web portal for instructions) for your members to bring to their boards for approval.
