Whether it be a fire, natural disaster, or even a simple power outage, it's important to consider how prepared your store will be. In this edition of eNews, we will begin a discussion on options to help protect your store from a loss of data.
Data Backup

Having data backed up can save you numerous hours if something goes wrong. Local backups are easy to do, but not very safe. In today's day and age, cloud backups have become increasingly important and popular. Cloud backup, also known as online backup, is a strategy for backing up data that involves sending a copy of the data over a proprietary or public network to an off-site server.

Many companies offer a cloud backup service that keeps all of your data safe and secure from any kind of disaster. Using these services allows you to restore any and all of your data in a matter of minutes. We understand that you are extremely busy running your store, and you don't have a lot of time to spend backing up your data. The beauty of cloud backup is that you can schedule your backups to be performed automatically! That way, you are protected, and you don't have to take any time out of your busy day. Once the scheduled backup happens, you will receive an email notification. At TransActPOS, we also review these backups to make sure they are done on schedule.

This will connect you to the after hours phone.  The "after hours" run from 5 p.m. - 8 a.m. CST Monday through Friday. Weekend "after hours" run from Friday at 5 p.m. CST to Monday morning at 8 a.m. CST. After hours covers all holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.
