Messenger
This feature allows users to send messages to other users. In this week's newsletter, we are going to look at this feature and the benefits of using it within your store. If you don't see this feature, make sure you are up to date. If you still don't, make sure to give us a call!

Overview
On the main menu of TransActPOS, there is a button near the bottom that says "Messenger." Clicking this will bring up the Messenger window. Here, you can see any messages you may have received from other users on your network.
Before opening a message, you can see (from the messenger window) who sent the message, the subject and a preview of the message, and the date it was sent. You can also tell if the message has been opened or not (an unopened envelope means the message has been unread). Double left clicking a message will open it, allowing you to read the content of the message completely.
| To create a new message, click the Compose button from the Messenger main window. This will bring up a blank Compose Message window, allowing you to select which user(s) will receive the message, the subject and message itself, and an image (if necessary).
Along the top of this window, it defaults to "Message," meaning you will simply send the user(s) selected the text you enter in the Message field. If you select "Schedule," you can send a date and time along with your message. This can be useful when wanting to send someone a deadline for something to get done. |
If you are in the middle of something within TransActPOS and someone sends you a message, when you are finished and going back to the main menu, the system will let you know you have a new message and give you the chance to go straight to the new message by clicking Yes.
