Outside of the area discussed in last week's newsletter, the bottom of this screen displays additional store information. On the bottom left, you can compare two custom date ranges. This way, you can input a three month date range for 2014 and compare it to a different three month date range in 2013. Once the dates are entered, click the Refresh button next to the date in the top left and the comparison will be updated.
Next to this date comparison box is Inventory information and Accounts Receivable information. In the first box (Inventory), you can view at a glance the average cost of inventory items sold, the SKU count, projected GMROI, sales to inventory, and inventory turns.
In the Accounts Receivable box, you can view the AR days, total number of accounts, and date aging information.

In the bottom left corner of the Gross Sales Comparison window is a gear icon. Left clicking this will bring up a few setup options. In the Settings menu, you can select which day of the week you want the system to consider as the "first day of the week." If you select Monday, the sales information/comparisons will be based starting on Monday.
You can also choose how the first week of the year is defined. You can select one of three options. The first considers the first week of the year to contain January 1st. The second means that the majority (four days) of the week will fall in the current year. The last option will make sure the first week contains seven days (first full week of the year).
The final setting is Screen Hide. You can disable it by selected Never or set it to auto hide after 5 minutes of inactivity, 10, 20, or 30 minutes. If you set a timer, after the time has passed and no activity is present, the Gross Sales Comparison tool will be covered up by a colorful image. Simply moving the mouse will make this image disappear.
