Gross Sales Comparison (Part 1)
Within TransActPOS, there are many tools that allow you to view how your store is performing. In this week's newsletter, we are going to look at one of the newer utilities, Gross Sales Comparison. With it, you can view at a glance a lot of information about how the store is performing currently and compare today's performance with another date.

Overview
To open the Gross Sales Comparison utility, you must go to POS | Manager Screen | Drawer Status. Once the Drawer Status window has been opened, click the Gross Sales Comparison button in the top right corner of the window.
On this utility, you can view Cash, Charge, and Total sales, Cost of Goods sold, Gross Margin and Gross Margin percentage, invoice count, and the average total of invoices. These values can be viewed for the current date and can be compared by four different ways:
- Date comparison
- Week to Date
- Month to Date
- Year to Date

The values on the right of each individual section show the difference between the date set in the top left of the window and the date shown below:
- Date comparison: compares the same day a year prior
- Week to Date: compares the current week to the previous week AND to the current week a year ago
- Month to Date: compares the current month to the previous month AND to the current month a year ago
- Year to Date: compares the current year to the previous year
