Creating Orders via Wireless
Wireless units can handle many different tasks and TransActPOS is built with a fully functional wireless utility. Even though you can create orders on the desktop application of TransActPOS, the wireless utility can also be used to create orders. This can be helpful, as you can check inventory levels on the floor with the wireless unit and immediately create an order, without having to wait till you return to a workstation. This newsletter will briefly show you how to perform this task.

Process
First and foremost, you must bring up the wireless application. To do this, bring up tapda or tap the wireless icon. This should bring you to the main menu of the wireless application. Here, select Inventory. Scan the first item you wish to order and then tap the Order button.
If there is an existing purchase order that you want to place this item on, highlight it and click Select PO. Next, enter the quantity you wish to order of that specific item.

If there is not an existing purchase order and you need to create a new one, select the New PO button. Next, enter the quantity you wish to order and then tap the Order Item button. The application will then ask you for the vendor you wish to order this specific item from. Enter the vendor information and click Find. Once the vendor is located, highlight the desired vendor and click Select.
After either of the previous steps, you can order the next item you need. Simply scan the next item, select Order Item, enter the quantity, select Order Item again, and repeat this process until the order is completed.
