Customer Reports

If you use the Accounts Receivable module to keep track of your customers' purchases and account charges, you are probably pretty familiar with that end of it. In this week's newsletter, we are going to begin taking a look at some additional things you can do/view in the Accounts Receivable module. In particular, we are going to begin by looking at the reports you can run that are customer specific. (AR | Customer File | Report tab)    

Reports Tab                                                            
Once you have located the customer you wish to do reporting on, click the Reports tab to show the various reports you can run. Below are brief descriptions about the different reports and some of the options you can choose when running them. For more information, including sample reports, visit the WebHelp section of TransActPOS.
  • Ledger - Provides a listing of invoices, credits, and payments starting at the entered date
  • Gift Report - Shows a detailed list of gifts the selected customer has given or received
  • Charge Inv. - Shows a listing of the customer's invoices. You can select to view detailed invoices, summarized invoices, or an item summary
  • Payments - Report of payments made by the customer. This can be account payments, cash purchases, or all

  • Coupons - Generates a document showing every coupon the customer has used

  • Sales Report - You can view a detailed or summarized list of items sold to the selected customer. This is very similar to the Sales Report found in IC | Reports, but in this case, the customer ID will automatically be filled in 

         
  • Invoices - Similar to the Charge Inv. menu option from earlier
  • Rentals - Shows a list of previous rental contracts with detail
  • Price List - Displays a list of item prices for this particular customer. Note: If you leave a lot of the filters and options on their default settings, the report will display EVERY item within your inventory, causing it to take a while to run the report
  • Open Invoices - Lists all open invoices for the selected customer
  • EMail - Shows a list of emails sent to the customer. Clicking the detail tab will display the highlighted email in detail, including the entire message
  • Sales Orders - This button will bring you to a blank Sales Order, allowing you to create, modify, and review any sales order this customer may have

Tis the Holiday Season! 
As we all know, the holiday season is upon us. With Christmas next week and New Year's Day both falling on Wednesday this year, we will not have a newsletter for two weeks starting next week.
