Email and TransActPOS
In eNews #2, we discussed our email service module that we offer in addition to TransActPOS. In this week's newsletter, we are going to briefly review what was covered in that newsletter and offer some additional tips in utilizing email to its fullest potential

Overview
The Email Server is an additional module TransActPOS offers allowing you to email invoices and statements to customers that choose to do so. You can also use it to email information from other additional modules, such as status updates from the Service module or email a sales order form to a customer. We are constantly improving our email service and extending it to other parts of TransActPOS. To search the help file for potential areas email is possible, click the Help Center button in TransActPOS and search for "Email." Remember, if you want to utilize emailing, you must purchase the additional module. Exporting Email Addresses
If you are a store that sends out a newsletter or would like to send something special to all the email customers in your customer file, you can easily export all of the email addresses and use them in an external program. To start this process, go to AR | Reports | Customer List. By default, the settings in this report will show all customers in your system. If you wish to narrow it down, you may do so using the filters given. Click Generate and once the report is done generating, click the Data View button. When the "Data Export Field Selection" window appears, click the Uncheck All button and scroll down the list and only check the "Email Address" field. Click Ok and you will be brought to the Data Viewer. This should only display the email addresses of your customers.
To export this list, click the Export button. Once the Save As window appears, change the Save as type to ".xls" and choose a location you want to save the list to. You may also name the list something you will easily recognize and remember after the process is completed. Once you click Save, the list will be available to open within Excel.
