Multi-Unit Price Tool
For the past few weeks, we are discussing the new features that version 3.036 has to offer. This week we will be talking about a tool that assists in finding unit of measure conflicts within your inventory and allowing you to correct these mistakes with a few clicks of the mouse. This tool is known as the Multi-Unit Price Tool.

Query Items
Upon opening this tool (located in IC | Maintenance | Multi-Unit Price Tool), you will be brought to the "Query Items" tab. This tab allows you to filter the tool to only show a selection of items within a given vendor's inventory. The first thing to choose is the Selection of items. This tool allows you to view items with setup errors or all prices. If you want to fix items upon entering them into inventory, select "Setup Errors Only," as it will display items with errors that were made upon entry. "All Multi-Unit Prices" will search for all errors within an entire vendor's inventory, regardless of when it was entered into the system.
Below the selection option is the vendor drop down menu. Here, you will need to choose the vendor in which you want to run this utility for. You can select the vendor by selecting it from the drop down menu or by selecting the button beside the drop down and looking for the vendor using the "Find" window. Next, enter a date range for the item listing. The dates entered here are referencing the date in which each item was entered into the system. By default, the tool will locate all items entered up to the current day, but you can customize this date range by entering a date in the "from" field and/or changing the date in the "to" field. Finally, you can filter the results by entering specific item information on the right side, such as Item ID, Class, Code, Fine, FineLine, Manufacturer (Mfg.), and/or Location.
Once the search information has been entered at the top of this tab, click the Generate button on the right side of this utility. Depending on the size of your inventory, this process could take a few seconds to a few minutes. Once the process is complete, you will see a listing of items with errors. If there are no errors found within the parameters entered, a message will appear, stating that no errors were found and you should try adjusting the settings and retry.

Assign Pricing
Once you have a listing of items, you can now click on and access the "Assign Pricing" tab. This is where you will perform various functions to the items you have selected below. This tab is split into two sections/steps. The first step is to filter the item list. By default, all items matching the parameters set on the "Query Items" tab will be shown, but depending on how thorough the filters are, there may be a lot of items shown and you will want to narrow down the listing even further. You have two main options to choose from. The first is to select a filter under "Quantity Break Price Method Column." There are four filters to choose from (aside from All Items) and they are self-explanatory. The second filter option is under "Additional Filter Option." There are two options here; one that shows only items that have relatively the same retail and one that only shows items with a large difference in retail price. You can also reset the filtering back to the default (all items) by clicking the Reset Filter button.
The second section/step is how you will be modifying the items selected in the item list. The options here are explained on the screen, allowing for ease of use. You can select "Update Only Purchase Unit" which changes the purchase unit for the selected items to the same factor as the ECatalog multiplier and sets the "No Mass Pricing" option to checked. If you want more control over the changes, select "Multi-Option Selection."
The "Multi-Option Selection" allows for multiple changes to occur. Selecting this option will enable the selection of check boxes listed below. These boxes include changing the stock/display/purchase unit to the ECatalog multiplier, set the stock retail to ECatalog retail, or even create a quantity break price for the selected items. Creating a quantity break price from this menu allows you to quickly and easily create a quantity break price to accommodate a difference between your inventory and the catalog information. You can select to "check" the "No Price" box and enter the actual quantity break price. This price can be either the current retail listed in the item listing or a percent of retail, which you must enter in the field before applying the changes. Once the modification has been selected and the items to apply this modification have been selected, click the Apply button.
