We are offering an intensive Clinical Supervision Foundational Program for Clinical Supervisors with one year of experience or less and persons about to become Clinical Supervisors.  

There are three (3) parts of the Program and participants must commit to attend all three parts of the program in order to be accepted.

Part I - Online Course

This 14-hour, self-paced course is designed to introduce the terms, topics, and resources essential to clinical supervision. 

CEU credits: 14 - course registration & attendance instructions will be provided in the event page below.

This course is required prior to participating in the face-to-face trainings

Part II - Clinical Supervision Foundations Workshop 
Wednesday August 26 - Thursday August 27, 2015
University of Illinois at Chicago - Student Center East

This 2-day face-to-face workshop provides you with an opportunity to deepen your understanding of key issues and actually practice supervisory skills.

The objectives for this workshop include facilitating the development of a personal model of supervision and practicing skills helping shape the delivery of high quality, effective clinical services to those seeking assistance for substance use disorders.

CEU credits: 12

Part III - Technology-based Clinical Supervision Workshop
Friday August 28, 2015
University of Illinois at Chicago - Student Center East

The goal of the 4 hour workshop is to familiarize Clinical Supervisors with technology-based clinical supervision (TBCS) research, demonstrate its utility, and provide opportunities to observe and practice delivery of clinical supervision services using different types of technology.

CEU credits: 4

30 Continuing Education Units (14 credits for online course and 16 credits for 2.5 days of face-to-face training) for Program offered by:
  • Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association (IAODAPCA)
  • National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC)
  • Social Work CEUs offered through Jane Addams College of Social Work (JACSW) - approved by the Illinois Dept. of Financial and Professional Regulation.
