Arts and the AC
Here at the Accelerator Centre, we believe it is important to contribute to the overall growth and well-being of Waterloo Region, in addition to the tech area that our business sits in. Contribution can exist in many different forms - partnerships, sponsorships, promotional events, and building the entrepreneurial art spirit. Over the next few months we will be highlighting some of the activities that our company, our employees and our Clients are involved in.

Wilfrid Laurier University and the Accelerator Centre - partnership with promise!

Early this year, Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU) approached the Accelerator Centre (AC) with a new start-up from their Launchpad program that was ready to take the next step, and they felt the Accelerator Program would be a great fit.
Shortly after the partnership between WLU and the Accelerator Centre was formalized, Smile Epidemic moved into the AC. CEO Jim Moss and team have garnered great traction this past year, and next month we are excited to have their recently renamed Plasticity team move into a 10 person suite. The successful experience has inspired WLU to expand the partnership, with 2 new WLU start-ups moving into the AC this month.
Professional Performance provides remote health care workers with the ability to access and update digitized Electronic Health Records from their mobile device, saving time, improving communication and enhancing overall patient quality of care. TrafficSoda gives online marketers the power to drive a tsunami of organic, targeted web traffic to their site through a system that interacts with online audiences across thousands of channels. We're excited to welcome these dynamic new start-ups to the Accelerator Centre.
*More good news on the WLU front: On October 9th, WLU's announced a new $1-million Laurier Start-up fund thanks to a generous donation from Mike and Hennie Stork. Click here for the full article.
