Welcome to the tnAchieves Volunteer Newsletter! We have found great community partners for you to volunteer with, and this newsletter will serve as an additional resource to let you know about community service opportunities across the state.

What is community service?
You are encouraged to complete your community service hours in your career field of interest to gain experience in the profession. This means that job shadowing and unpaid internships may count! Make sure you are volunteering with an actual organization (not an individual), you are not being paid, and you are being supervised by someone who is not a family member.

Check out these examples of what does and does not count for
community service!
