6 Ways To Treat Hair Loss

Those concerned with any level of hair loss have likely tried at least one at-home product or procedure to tackle the problem. With all that is marketed for hair loss today, it can really be quite confusing. Men's Health breaks down the top 6 treatments for hair loss to help us learn exactly how effective each one can be.

1) Nutrition

While diet alone certainly will not regrow your hair (we wish it were that easy), eating foods high in nutrients can strengthen your hair and reduce breakage. Foods that are protein rich with healthy fats can make the hair you have look thicker and shinier. B vitamins are particularly important in aiding in hair growth. Great sources include chicken, fish, eggs, pork, and leafy greens, such as spinach.

2) Nioxin Shampoo

You've likely heard of Nioxin, which includes a bunch of hair products aimed at fighting thinning hair. But does it really work?

Facial plastic surgery can certainly make one look and feel more youthful but did you know it can actually increase your likeability? How has this been determined? Dr. Michael J. Reilly, and assistant professor of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Georgetown University School of Medicine set out with his colleagues to evaluate and quantify changes in personality perception following popular plastic surgery procedures such as facelift, upper and lower eyelid lifts, brow lift, and/or chin implant surgery.

Neck Lift Surgery for "Text Turkey Neck?

We've all heard warnings about too much cell phone use from the dangerous cancer-causing radiofrequency to anti-social behavior. But have you heard of "Text Neck"?

The term was coined last year after many documented cases of patients who experienced chronic spine pain from looking down at their smart phones so often.  A recent study shows that craning the neck over a cell phone to read emails, text, tweet, or check facebook can exert from 10 to 60 pounds of weight on an adult head.

But the damage doesn't stop there. The other aspect of "Text Neck" is that the neck craning can also result in loose neck skin, otherwise known as 'turkey neck'.
