LESS THAN 1 WEEK LEFT OF ANNUAL ENROLLMENT
The State Health Plan's Annual Enrollment will end May 31.
Employees do NOT need to do anything during Annual Enrollment if they are satisfied with the plan in which they are currently enrolled. If they take no action, they will remain on their current plan, along with any covered dependents. Any plan changes made during Annual Enrollment will become effective July 1, 2013.
Beginning July 1, 2013, the mental health/substance abuse office copay has been reduced to align with the primary care visit copay. For the 70/30 Basic Plan, the copay is $35. For the 80/20 Standard Plan, the copay is $30.
Important note: The current benefit year runs from July 1-June 30 of the following year. However, the State Health Plan Board of Trustees recently approved moving the benefit year to a calendar year. To facilitate the transition to a calendar year benefit period, the upcoming benefit period will only be six months: July 1, 2013 - Dec. 31, 2013. This means deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums will be reduced by half.
ANNUAL ENROLLMENT REPORTS
For BEACON HBRs BEACON Benefits BI Reports are available to assist HBRs during Annual Enrollment. HBRs can run the B0151: Eligible Employees Not Enrolled to identify employees who currently are not enrolled in the Plan. HBRs may want to communicate directly to these employees since they will not receive an enrollment package from the Plan. Additionally, the B0009: Benefit Annual Enrollment Statistics and the B0011: Participating Employees reports are useful to run during Annual Enrollment. For eEnroll HBRs HBRs can run a Task List report to review items that need review or approval during Annual Enrollment. It will be important to review and approve employee elections frequently during Annual Enrollment.
Each agency that does not have a Payroll feed integration with eEnroll can run the Payroll Attribute Report, which will show all Annual Enrollment election changes made for the 7/1/13 effective date. Reach out to your Account Manager with any questions. |
