Jamaica Center BID is excited to share highlights from the "Jamaica Collection - a premiere fashion extravaganza celebrating Downtown Jamaica as an urban style destination.
The evening opened to a full house at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center, and featured celebrity designers, local businesses, and trendy fashionistas from across the boroughs. Elected officials Comptroller John Liu and Councilman Leroy Comrie got into the fun and Dept. of Small Business Services Commissioner Robert Walsh, even took to the runway.
Indeed people are buzzing about Downtown Jamaica. Less than a year ago, after the BID's first show, The New York Times profiled the style donned on Jamaica Ave. DNAinfo highlighted all the upcoming concerts and events coming to the area.
