Students who are involved in extracurricular activities-from chess club
to cheerleading to chorus-tend to have higher self-esteem and stronger
connections to school. But an overloaded schedule with too many
activities can have the opposite effect, leaving your child-and you-stressed!

Parties Build Community at PSI!
2016-2017

We believe the best way for students and families to enjoy our parties
and to build community is by making sure that all individuals feel invited,
respected and cared for.  We have recently revisited. reaffirmed and
articulated how we do classroom parties at PSI.  We came up with a
PSI Parties
Belief Statement to ensure school parties are an inclusive,
positive experience for all of our students.

party dates for 2016-2017.

Did You Know...?
THE most economical device to teach reading is likely already in your home.  Finland's children have the highest reading scores in the world and they use this device more than any other country-and it's free!  It's closed-captioning on the TV.
Turn it on by using the "menu" button on the remote to reach the "cc" area. Children unconsciously absorb the sight of the words and their sounds, making connections to how print is used. It's like having a free magazine subscription in the home.
