in our own published book!

All entries must be submitted through Google Docs in
digital form.  Teachers should proof your child's Spanish
submissions, and can assist students in submitting through
Google docs.

and fractions, mathematical reasoning, ecosystems, natural

PSI Kindergarten Enrollment           
2016-2017                   

Do you have a child ready to start kindergarten next
fall?  SLP residents were mailed applications on Jan. 8th.
It is your responsibility to request an application if you
did not receive one in the mail. Completed applications
should be returned to the district offices at 6425 West 33rd Street,
NOT to PSI. 

Please note, sibling preference will be considered only if you  
turn in your application by the deadline of February 17, 2016,  
and
you meet the criteria as listed in the PSI Admissions Policy (#545)

PTO:  Book Fair Volunteers NEEDED
February 9th, 10th, and 11th

Volunteers are needed for our Scholastic Book Fair next week.
No experience needed, and kids are welcome. Volunteers are
eligible to attend the Scholastic Warehouse book sale in the
spring where books are 50% off. Thanks!

PTO:  Family, Fun & Fitness                    
February 9 from 6:30-8:00pm - PSI Gymnasium    

On Tuesday, February 9th - Bring the whole family to enjoy a night
of gym games!  Bring dry shoes (no wet boots/shoes on the gym floor),
and your own water bottle. An adult must accompany students to this event. 
Families will meet in the gym where P.E. teacher, Sr. Watkins, and P.E. Assistant,
Sra. Huss will lead the group in a variety of high energy games!
If fast paced isn't your thing, then head downstairs to the activity room (room #17) where
yoga instructor, Megan Thompson, will lead a series of four, 10 minute yoga
demonstrations geared towards elementary age children.
There will be a healthy snack provided at the end of the night.

PTO:  Carnival Prize Store Donations
NEW this year - Prize Store at the Carnival

This year we will have a prize store at the Carnival where kids can
turn in tokens from games and receive a prize!
If you have any gently used (or new) toys or games that you'd be
willing to donate, please drop them into labeled containers in the
hall outside of the gym - these will be picked up daily.

PTO:  9th Annual Carnival                      
March 6th from 4-8:00 pm      
         
The Ninth Annual PSI Family Carnival Fundraiser is right
around the corner!
The PTO Carnival is an annual PTO
family fun event and silent auction to raise proceeds for
the Amity Program as well as build community within PSI.
This year, Carnival will be held on Saturday, March 5th.
Students brought home an invitation home in their
backpacks this week with additional details.

To ensure the success of this event, we need a lot
of volunteers.
Most shifts are only 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
Older siblings and PSI alumni are strongly encouraged
to volunteer as well!
