Shelterhouse Wish List

Imagine the provisions needed to provide 5,717 nights of safety in a year. Shelterhouse does just that and at the top of our Wish List right now is the need for laundry detergent, toilet paper and paper towels.

If you can help out, please bring these items to Shelterhouse or call us at (989) 835-6771 to make donation arrangements.

Thank you so much.

Bridge of Hope Update

We have "matched" Midland Reformed Church with a homeless family and are training St. Timothy Lutheran's mentoring group this month. Bridges are being built!

Thank You for Adopting our Families!

Thank you to everyone who adopted a Shelterhouse family for Christmas.

Shelterhouse Client Advocate Sue Williams shared, "What a blessing it was for me to receive phone calls from our community to help families have a wonderful Christmas. I am blessed to work at a such a wonderful agency who reaches out to those who are in need."

Holiday Festivities for our Clients Created by a Caring Community

Michael Gardner, CEO at Integrated Pharmacy is pictured below giving a check for $1280 to Robin Greiner, Shelter and Crisis Service Coordinator.  The Employees of Integrated Pharmacy contributed $640 and the company matched their contribution.

The donated funds went toward our client Holiday Party. Fifty families attended the festivities. They enjoyed pictures with Santa, crafts, and a meal provided by the employees and friends of Wolverine Bank.

The Midland Camera Club provided family portraits and members of the Zonta Club of Midland contributed many gifts, supplies, and volunteers for the party. Thank you to EVERYONE for creating special holiday memories for our clients.
Girls on the Run Coaches are Needed!
Coaches for Girls on the Run (GOTR) are needed. The season will start in early March and end with the Dow RunWalk in mid May.  Teams meet twice a week immediately after school lets out. Head Coaches must be healthy women who are "comfortable in their own skin", and Assistant Coaches can be men or women with the same positive spirit.  For more information, contact Sara JC at jacobscarter@cdvsa.org.

Volunteers are Needed at the  Shelterhouse Resale Shop

We are seeking volunteers of all ages to help sort donations and move merchandise out onto the Shelterhouse Resale Shop floor. Bring a friend, bring the family... spend one hour, or many hours ... All are welcome!

Reserve your spot to volunteer at the Shelterhouse Resale Shop  today! Simply click the Volunteer Spot Icon below and enter your email address (you do not need to register an account), and select the times you are available to help out.
Please help spread the news!
